The adhesive film is a laminated film comprising a central polymeric film sandwiched between a first adhesive layer and a second adhesive layer, the first adhesive layer has a melt temperature lower than that of the second adhesive layer.

The printing method includes a step of setting, when at least two print heads that move in a movement direction intersecting a carrying direction and that include a plurality of nozzle rows each including a plurality of nozzles arranged in the carrying direction are moved in the movement direction, one ejecting method, of among a plurality of ejecting methods in which the nozzles for actually ejecting ink droplets are appropriately changed between an upstream-side nozzle and a downstream-side nozzle, for each of a plurality of aligned nozzle sections that are arranged such that the downstream-side nozzle of one print head and the upstream-side nozzle of the other print head, of the nozzle rows provided in different print heads, are aligned in the movement direction; and a step of ejecting ink droplets from the aligned nozzle sections according to the one ejecting method that has been set.

The printing section being configured to determine the maximum pass number N required to repeatedly move the printing head to print on a section of the medium at a desired resolution. The desired resolution is greater than the pass resolution. The printing section is further configured to determine which passes of N will be designated to discharge the liquid from each nozzle of the plurality of nozzles, and whether or not an idle pass is required for each nozzle of the plurality of nozzles. When an idle pass is required for each nozzle of the plurality of nozzles, the printing section is configured to modify the maximum divided pass number N to divided pass number M, M being less than N.
