    摘要: An upper plate portion having a pair of openings formed therein, an external surface portion inclined to the inner side from an upper end of the outer circumference of the upper plate portion toward the lower side of the case, and a holding plate portion protruding from an inner surface of the external surface portion toward the inner side are integrally provided in a case. A cover is inserted into the case from the sides of the upper plate portion and the holding plate portion to be integrated with the case constitute a switch housing. Operating knobs are fitted to the case from the upper sides of the openings to thus assemble a switch unit. The switch unit is fixed to the side portion of a pad portion of a steering wheel, so that the operating knobs protrude to a space between the inner circumference of a ring portion and the pad portion.

    摘要: A system is proposed for transmitting energy and/or data between a vehicle body and a removable part, a first core half having a pin and a pin ring which extend into a second core half to thus improve an inductive coupling. The first and second core halves are elements of an inductive transformer, and in each case have windings to transmit the energy and data, respectively. So that the pin does not protrude when a movable part is removed from a vehicle, in a further development, a ring is provided with bore holes and an annular spring which ensure that all primary-side transformer parts terminate flush with the vehicle floor. The improved inductive coupling makes it possible for the core halves to be made predominantly of an iron material.

    摘要: A connecting device includes first and second housing parts which are rotatable relative to one another and are coupled together to define a space therebetween. At least one flexible cable is provided in the space defined by the housing parts. Each cable includes first and second end sections which are configured to be rolled and unrolled in a spiral or helix on associated contact surfaces of the housing parts, respectively. The end sections normally extend in opposite directions from each other circumferentially around the housing parts so that a U-shaped turning area at which cable movement reverses is formed in the space defined by the housing parts. Magnetic areas are arranged on at least one of each cable, the first housing part, and the second housing part to cause the end sections of each cable to removably adhere to the respective contact surfaces of the housing parts.

    摘要: The present invention is a remote control button assembly with a combined type button arrangement structure of a front button and a side button capable of effectively using a front surface engaging region and a lateral surface engaging region of a steering wheel. In the present invention, even when the number of the buttons is increased, it is possible to achieve enough engaging area and sufficient button size for each button so that each button can function effectively and not be too small for the driver. Therefore, handling and operation ability of each button is enhanced. The remote control button assembly built into a steering wheel according to the present invention includes at least more than three front buttons provided on a front surface of a steering wheel, and at least one side button provided in a lower portion of a lateral surface of one side of the engaging region in which the front buttons are provided.

    摘要: A steering wheel control system (10) that employs a method for passing push-button commands from a steering wheel to a vehicle system where the method is not dependant upon the contact resistance of a sliding contact (32) located in the steering wheel column. The control system (10) uses a steering wheel electronics assembly (20) to generate tones corresponding to the commands, a signal transmission assembly (30) to transmit the tones from the electronics assembly (20) to an electronic control box (40) located elsewhere in the vehicle, and the electronic control box (40) to decode the transmitted tone. The use of discrete frequencies avoids operational problems associated with decreases in the overall system noise margin due to large voltage drops across the sliding contact (32). Furthermore, the use of off-the-shelf tone generation and decoding components allows for an (overall reduction in system cost and increase in system reliability.

    摘要: The disclosed invention comprises an electronic control circuit for transferring power and data signals between an electronic circuit associated with a vehicle steering column and an electronic circuit associated with a vehicle steering wheel. Communication between the column circuit and the wheel circuit is accomplished by a rotary transformer having a primary and a secondary magnetic coil, wherein the primary magnetic coil is associated with the steering column and the secondary magnetic coil is associated with the steering wheel. The column circuit and the wheel circuit both include data signals that are transferred to the other across the rotary transformer. The column circuit also includes a power supply which provides power to the wheel circuit across the rotary transformer. Power supplied to the wheel circuit is stored in at least one storage device in the wheel circuit, which then provides the power to the components of the wheel circuit, including an air bag squib driver circuit for firing air bag squibs.

    摘要: A neutral start switch has a base on which stationary contacts are arranged and a rotor on which movable contacts capable of contacting the stationary contacts are disposed. The stationary contacts include reverse lamp contacts connected to a reverse lamp lighting circuit, position stationary contacts connected to a position signal circuit provided in an electronic control device, and starter stationary contacts connected to a starter motor driving circuit. The contacts are arranged so that contact portions of the movable contacts that contact the reverse lamp stationary contacts are different from contact portions of the movable contacts that contact the other stationary contacts, thereby preventing carbonized powder produced by spark at the time of the closure and opening of the reverse lamp contacts from causing a contact failure of another contact.
