    摘要: An expansion seal assembly for sealingly connecting first and second conduits which experience relative thermal expansion and contraction due to the flow of hot material through the conduits. The conduits each comprise a plurality of hollow tubes integral therewith, a portion of the second conduit telescopically overlapping a portion of the first conduit in a spaced relationship to permit the relative axial and lateral movements of the conduits. A fluid circulatory system is provided for passing a heat transfer fluid through the tubes to remove heat from the material passing within the conduits. First and second corrugated plates extend outwardly from the first and second conduits, respectively and are sealed with a composite fabric belt dimensioned to permit the relative movements. Alternatively, a first plate extends outwardly from the second conduit and the second plate is rigidly secured to and extends between the first conduit and the first plate having corrugations to permit the relative movements. Finally, thermal insulation is disposed between the plates exterior to the conduits to inhibit heat flow.

    摘要: A device for transferring a pressure medium has a first stationary component and a second component that is inserted into the first stationary component such that it is rotatably drivable therein. A first annular chamber is defined between the first stationary component and the second component and has a first and a second axial end. The first axial end is delimited at least partially by the first stationary component and the second axial end is delimited at least partially by the second component. An inlet line and an outlet line are connected to the first annular chamber. The outlet line guides the pressure medium to a consuming device. Radially extending sealing slots are defined between the first stationary component and the second component at the first and the second axial ends whereby the sealing slots have adjustable slot widths. The first and the second sealing slots are simultaneously adjustable into a same direction with respect to the slot width by an axial relative adjusting movement of the first stationary component and the second component.

    摘要: An apparatus for delivering sludge-type matter from a supply line has a manifold conduit rotatably coupled on one end to the supply line and adapted to receive matter flowing therefrom. A distributor plate includes a plurality of ports extending therethrough. A plurality of distributor conduits are each coupled on one end to a respective port on one side of the distributor plate to receive matter therefrom. A rotating plate is rotatably supported on the other side of the distributor plate and coupled to the other end of the manifold conduit. The rotating plate is adapted to rotate relative to the distributor plate to align the manifold conduit with a respective distributor conduit to direct the flow of matter therethrough. The rotating plate has a plurality of stop cams formed on the peripheral edge thereof, each corresponding in position to a respective distributor conduit. A catch member is biased against the peripheral edge of the rotating plate and, thus, is adapted to permit rotation of the rotating plate in one direction, but prevent rotation in the other direction upon abutting a respective stop cam. The manifold conduit is aligned with a respective distributor conduit upon the catch member abutting a respective stop cam.

    摘要: A structure for restraining pressure thrust loads of a bellows joint while allowing angular rotation between two pipe ends is provided with a pair of toroidal limiting rings having a circular cross-section and stop rings on their inner circumference. The limiting rings are secured at an axial spacing and encircle the pipe ends. Shear lugs are fixed around each pipe end. The stop rings are engaged by the shear lugs to limit the axial expansion of the joint. The limiting rings are secured together by either two hinge arms or a gimbal ring. The gimbal ring uses two pairs of hinge arms, each at 180.degree. spacing and one pair offset 90.degree. relative to the other, with one pair of hinge arms securing the gimbal ring to one limiting ring, and the other pair of hinge arms securing the gimbal ring to the other limiting ring.
