    摘要: An input device for use with a computer system includes: a pad and a portable unit operating as a computer mouse. The pad includes: a first antenna providing power to the portable unit, a radio frequency transmitter, a radio frequency receiver, a data link between the pad and the computer system, and an array of radio frequency antennas used for tracking a location of the portable unit. The portable unit includes at least one mouse antenna reflecting the radio frequency signals from the pad. The reflected radio frequency signals are used to estimate a location of the portable unit with respect to the array of radio frequency antennas in the pad.

    摘要: Systems and methods for multi-platform motion interactivity, is provided. The system includes a motion-sensing subsystem, a display subsystem including a display, a logic subsystem, and a data-holding subsystem containing instructions executable by the logic subsystem. The system configured to display a displayed scene on the display; receive a dynamically-changing motion input from the motion-sensing subsystem that is generated in response to movement of a tracked object; generate, in real time, a dynamically-changing 3D spatial model of the tracked object based on the motion input; control, based on the movement of the tracked object and using the 3D spatial model, motion within the displayed scene. The system further configured to receive, from a secondary computing system, a secondary input; and control the displayed scene in response to the secondary input to visually represent interaction between the motion input and the secondary input.

The exemplary system further includes a spatial input subsystem configured to detect the pointing signal, determine a physical position within the physical user space based on the detected pointing signal, map the determined physical position within the physical user space to a cursor position on the display screen, output data representative of the cursor position for use by a display subsystem associated with the display screen, detect the selection signal, and output, in response to the selection signal, data representative of a selection command for use by the display subsystem. Corresponding systems, methods, and apparatuses are also disclosed.

    摘要: Various interfaces and control schemes are provided that enable a user to enter text or select specific elements of an interface based at least in part upon relative motion. In some embodiments, a user can enter text by tilting a device to locate a specific character, and press on a button or specified area of a device to select that character. In other embodiments, a user can select a character by looking at a character and performing a selection action, a user device able to determine the character by tracking a gaze direction of the user. Any relative movement of a device and/or a user can be used as input, allowing for one-handed or even hands-free entrance of text or other selection of elements of a graphical user interface.

    摘要: An interactive presentation system includes: an imaging device; an image analyzer that calculates information regarding a pointed position by using captured-image data; a controller that receives the information and operates based on an input from an input device; a storage device controlled by the controller to store the information; a pattern generator controlled by the controller to generate a pattern image; an image display device that receives an output from the pattern generator; and a projector that enlarges and projects an output from the image display device. Upon initialization based on the input from the input device, the controller defines a pointed position as a boundary position of a command, assigns the command to an area demarcated by the boundary position, and stores the boundary position in the storage device. After initialization, the controller compares a pointed position and the boundary position and executes the command associated to the information.

    摘要: A method of assisting discovering a cursor on an electronic display is disclosed. In general, if a cursor moves from one display region to another and there is a difference in ambient light, a cursor adjustment may need to be executed. In another embodiment, the method may look to see if a user is moving the cursor in a fashion to locate the cursor in which case a cursor adjustment should be executed. If three cursor inputs are in successively opposite directions or have opposite acceleration and are received within a brief period of time, the cursor adjustment may be executed.

    摘要: A screen is provided on a housing in such a manner that the screen protrudes toward its nearer side, and is inclined so that the nearer side becomes lower. This screen displays thereon a first hierarchy menu for indicating an arrangement of genre pictures, a second hierarchy menu for indicating an arrangement of commodity pictures, and a map image for indicating a map of the sales counters. A user brings his or her hand tip nearer to this screen. This operation allows a double-ring pointer to be displayed at a position which corresponds to the spatial position or direction of the user's hand tip relative to the screen. On this screen, the user is permitted to change the position of this double-ring pointer by performing a gesture of changing the spatial position or direction of the user's hand tip.
