摘要： A rotary switch construction wherein a stator has a pocket for receiving a rotor. The rotor has a flexible rim which permits it to snap-fit into the pocket of the stator. A plurality of angled surfaces on the stator compress the rotor rim as it is inserted into the pocket of the stator. Retainer means are provided to hold the rotor in the stator. The rotor further includes a plurality of stop pairs. The stator has a single, fixed stop which is disposed between the stops of one of the pairs on the rotor. The rotor stops have variable arcuate spacing so that, depending on which pair of stops spans the fixed stop, the degree of rotational freedom of the rotor can be selected. In another aspect, the rotary switch includes means on the rotor for fastening the rotor blade in place.

摘要： A membrane switch includes a substrate having a plurality of first conductors formed thereon and a flexible membrane having a plurality of second conductors formed thereon. A spacer is positioned between the substrate and membrane and there are openings in the spacer in register with aligned first and second conductors. To isolate the switch membrane, there is a pressure reduction membrane overlying and in contact with the exterior of the switch membrane and an isolation membrane positioned on top of the pressure reduction membrane. Areas of the pressure reduction membrane in register with the spacer openings are formed to reduce the required force thereupon to effect movement of the switch membrane.

A plurality of subscriber channel selection means are connected, along with each of the oscillators to a digital tuning system. The digital tuning system sequentially and repetitively is connected to each subscriber selection means and its associated oscillator to provide tuning control during the period of such connection. Tuning control is provided by comparing the frequency of the oscillator with the selected channel oscillator frequency as provided by the subscriber selection means.

摘要： A means for decoding a generally constant frequency sine wave scrambled television signal uses an automatic gain control circuit in a closed loop. The scrambling, applied at the head end of the television system, applies a greater scrambling level to the audio carrier than it does to the video carrier. The unscrambling signal, the detected audio carrier scrambling signal, is combined with the scrambled signal in an amplifier circuit, the output of which is a basic television signal. There is a residual of the scrambling sine wave remaining in the audio carrier output after unscrambling, but little or no residual scrambling remaining on the video carrier. The residual audio carrier scrambling signal is detected and amplified for application as the unscrambling signal.

摘要： A TV tuner has a housing and a rotating channel selector shaft mounted on the housing. There are a plurality of individual support members positioned by and mounted on parallel flatted areas of the shaft, which flatted areas vary in size to assure correct placement of the support members. Individual coil strips, each carrying a tuning screw, are fixed to the shaft assembly. A simplified clutching arrangement for controlling adjustment of the screws utilizes a coil spring to provide the initial force for moving a pinion gear into operating engagement with the tuning screws. The tuning screws are held by resilient arms which bias the head of the screws toward the shaft to thus firmly maintain the screws in any adjusted position. Each of the coil strips have contacts extending outwardly from one side and positioned to be in electrical and mechanical contact with cantilever spring members fastened to a printed circuit board which in turn is held by the housing.

摘要： A switching mechanism has at least two terminals partly positioned within a housing and a reciprocal actuator movable within the housing. A coil spring, under endwise buckling pressure, is mounted between spaced portions of one of the terminals, with movement of the actuator causing the coil spring to pivotally move toward and away from another terminal. A slider is positioned in one end of the coil spring and arranged for contact with the actuator to cause pivotal movement of the coil spring. The actuator and slider have cooperating means for latching the actuator in an operated position.

摘要： A TV system, for example the type used in hotels or motels, provides non-subscription channels and a subscription channel all on the same facilities. The subscription channel is transmitted at the same frequency as the normal output frequency of a UHF tuner. Means are provided to connect the facilities to the conventional VHF input of a TV receiver and to the UHF input of a receiver VHF tuner. When in the latter position, the VHF tuner oscillator is disabled and a billing transmitter is activated to send appropriate billing information back to the transmitting location.
