Abstract:
A system and method for monitoring a host computer using a service processor is provided. A shared nonvolatile random access memory (NVRAM) area is used to store progress information from the host computer system. The host computer system writes progress information corresponding to the initialization step being performed to the shared NVRAM and also updates a host pointer in the NVRAM. The service processor reads the shared NVRAM and compares its pointer with the host pointer to determine whether new host initialization activity has been reported. The service processor sets a timer so that if host activity is not reported during a set amount of time an error condition occurs causing the service processor to handle the host computer error. An optional service processor routine determines whether the host computer is stuck in an initialization loop whereupon the service processor once again handles the host computer error.
Abstract:
An approach is provided in which the approach generates a parallel chart based on multiple records that includes a set of variable values corresponding to a set of variables. To generate the parallel chart, the approach arranges the set of variables on the parallel chart in a variable order based on at least one variable arrangement rule. The approach arranges an initial variable value order for each one of the set of variables, and computes a lucidity score based on the variable order and the initial variable value order of each of the set of variables. The lucidity score is a measurement of the clarity of the parallel chart. The approach adjusts the variable value order of at least one of the set of variables to increase the lucidity score and optimizes the clarity of the parallel chart based on the adjusted variable value order.
Abstract:
An approach is provided in which a method, system, and program product build a time series prediction model based on one or more relationships between a first set of keywords in a set of first news articles and a second set of keywords in a set of second news articles. The time series prediction model includes a time-based interest level adjustment corresponding to a publication time between the set of first news articles and the set second of news articles. The method, system, and program product use the time series prediction model to compute an inherited initial interest level of a third news article that includes a set of new keywords based on the set of new keywords and the time-based interest level adjustment. The method, system, and program product assign the inherited initial interest level to the third news article.
Abstract:
An approach is provided that receives a message and applies a deep analytic analysis to the message. The deep analytic analysis results in a set of enriched message embedding (EME) data that is passed to a trained neural network. Based on a set of scores received from the trained neural network, a conversation is identified from a number of available conversations to which the received message belongs. The received first message is then associated with the identified conversation.
Abstract:
An approach is provided that transmit a first set survey questions to a user with each of the first set questions corresponding to a primary survey goal. Survey answers are then received from the user. A cognitive system is then used to determining an affinity level between the user and the primary survey goal. If the affinity level reaches a threshold, then a second set of questions is transmitted to the user with these questions also corresponding to the primary survey goal. However, if the first affinity level fails to reach the threshold, then the second set of questions are based on a secondary survey goal and these questions are transmitted to the user.
Abstract:
An approach is provided in which the approach receives a media stream comprising an audio stream and a video stream. The audio stream includes a set of audio tones inserted at a set of predetermined frame intervals, and the video stream includes a set of predetermined colors inserted into a set of predetermined pixel locations at the predetermined frame intervals. The approach determines that an audio frame in the audio stream at which the set of audio tones are inserted is misaligned in time with a video frame in the video stream at which the set of predetermined colors are included in the set of predetermined pixel locations. The approach synchronizes the audio stream with the video stream in response to the determination and aligns in time the audio frame with the video frame at one of the predetermined frame intervals.
Abstract:
An approach is described that provides a distributed directory structure within a storage of an information handling system (a local node). A request is received with the request corresponding to a shared virtual address. The shared virtual address that is shared amongst a number of nodes that includes the local node and some remote nodes. A Global Address Space Directory (GASD) is retrieved that corresponds to a global virtual address space. The GASD is stored in a Coordination Namespace that is stored in a memory that is distributed amongst the nodes. A mapping that is included in the GASD is used to determine the node where the shared virtual address currently resides. The shared virtual address is then accessed from the node where it currently resides.
Abstract:
An approach is provided in which a system analyzes a first set of data to derive a first distribution output that is based on a first conjugated distribution corresponding to the first set of data and a domain class model. The system utilizes the first distribution output as a baseline input to generate a second conjugated distribution corresponding to a second set of data and the domain class model. Next, the system derives a second distribution output of the second set of data based on the second conjugated distribution. The second distribution output identifies at least one personally identifiable information (PII) data field corresponding to the second set of data that was not identified as a PII data field in the domain class model. In turn, the system tags at least a portion of the second set of data as PII based on the derived second distribution output.
Abstract:
An approach is provided to detect pronouns that are included in textual posts that are found in an online discussion. The textual posts are analyzed using a natural language processing speech classification technique, that results in an identification of a noun to which the detected pronoun refers. The system then displays, on a display device, the noun to which the pronoun refers.
Abstract:
An approach is provided for an information handling system that includes a processor and a memory to analyze documents. In the approach, an electronic document is received with the document including content, such as text, and revision metadata that is associated with the content. The revision metadata is analyzed and the approach identifies a confidence level based on the analysis. The confidence level is associated with the electronic document content. The confidence level can then be utilized by a Question and Answer (QA) system.
