Abstract:
The present description relates to a method in which a first terminal communicates with a base station via a second terminal in a wireless access system supporting machine-type communication (MTC). The method comprises the following steps: transmitting, to the second terminal, uplink data to be transmitted to the base station; receiving, from the base station, control information corresponding to the quality of a link between the first terminal and the second terminal; and retransmitting the uplink data to the second terminal in accordance with the received control information, wherein the control information includes information on the delay between the second terminal and the base station, and information on the measured quality of the link between the first terminal and the second terminal

The method of establishing a sleep mode operation through active primary and secondary carriers according to an embodiment of the present invention may include transmitting a sleep cycle ID, a listening window, and traffic indication inactive information indicating that an indication as to whether traffic is generated is not transferred to a terminal through the primary carrier, sending downlink data to the terminal through the active primary or secondary carrier during the listening window, and sending a listening window early termination indication indicating to early terminate the listening window of the primary or secondary carrier that has received the downlink data through the primary carrier to the terminal if the data sending is completed.
Abstract:
A handover performing method and apparatus are provided to allow a terminal to effectively perform handover when it moves from a cell of a base station supporting a legacy system to a cell of a base station supporting an advanced system. The method for performing handover by a terminal, includes: acquiring information regarding a target base station through scanning; transmitting a ranging request message including indication information indicating direct handover to the target base station to the target base station; receiving a ranging response message including a handover procedure optimization flag from the target base station; and performing a network entry procedure toward the target base station according to the handover procedure optimization flag, wherein, in the network entry procedure, a key agreement procedure with the target base station is performed by using first authentication information which has been used in a connection with a serving base station.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for transmitting a broadcasting service in a system that supports machine to machine communications, the method comprising: transmitting an event registration message to a base station for the registration of an event at the time of occurrence; receiving from the base station an event registration response that contains information on a reserved downlink resource area in the base station to transmit the vent occurrence to other terminals; and broadcasting the event occurrence to the other terminals via the reserved downlink resource area.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein relates to a method and apparatus of sleep mode operation in a multi-carrier system. In a communication system of transmitting and receiving data using a multi-carrier including a primary carrier for transmitting and receiving control information and data and a secondary carrier using a radio frequency (RF) different from the primary carrier, a method of establishing a sleep mode operation through active primary and secondary carriers according to an embodiment of the present invention may include transmitting a sleep cycle ID (SCID), a listening window, and traffic indication inactive information indicating that an indication (TRF-IND) as to whether traffic is generated is not transferred to a terminal through the primary carrier, sending downlink data to the terminal through the active primary or secondary carrier during the listening window, and sending a listening window early termination indication indicating to early terminate the listening window of the primary or secondary carrier that has received the downlink data through the primary carrier to the terminal if the data sending is completed.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for performing a carrier switching operation in the perspective of a terminal in a multicarrier system, the method including establishing an enhanced-multicast broadcast service (E-MBS) service connection with a base station for E-MBS service reception, sending an E-MBS report message to the base station in the E-MBS service connected state with the base station, the E-MBS report message including connection information related to E-MBS channels, which the terminal is receiving or E-MBS channels, which the terminal intends to receive, receiving an E-MBS response message from the base station in response to the E-MBS report message, and performing a carrier switching operation for the E-MBS service reception based upon unicast available interval information included in the E-MBS response message.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for performing demapping in a wireless communication system utilizing a modulo operation are disclosed. The demapping method of a receiver in a wireless communication system includes receiving an input signal and first information indicating whether a first modulo operation is performed on the input signal from a transmitter; if the first information indicates execution of the first modulo operation, performing a second modulo operation of the input signal, and acquiring a reception signal; generating a maximum function value having a highest probability that the reception signal corresponds to a candidate constellation point of an extended constellation; and generating a log-likelihood ratio (LLR) using the generated maximum function value.
Abstract:
A method and a base station (BS) for transmitting a location measurement reference signal, and a method and a user equipment (UE) for receiving a location measurement reference signal are disclosed. The UE and the BS determine a transmission time of D-LBS zone configuration information configured to transmit an LBS location beacon on the basis of an S-SFH change cycle. In addition, the UE and the BS determine a transmission start point of the D-LBS zone transmitted according to the configuration information, using the transmission time of the configuration information.
Abstract:
A method for handling an error in a persistent resource allocation that is performed by a base station includes transmitting a first control message to a terminal, the first control message including persistent allocation information for transmission of an uplink data burst and determining whether the terminal has received the first control message. If a decoding of the uplink data burst, transmitted by the terminal in a resource indicated by the first control message, has been successful, it is determined that the terminal has received the first control message.
