Abstract: A method for determining the size of a bicuspid annulus of bicuspid, including acquiring an image of the heart including the left ventricle and the aorta; generating a first plane, which includes a line that passes through two base points in the bicuspid of the image of the heart; and generating multiple second planes, which are obtained per each rotation, while rotating the first plane multiple times by a predetermined angle about the line that passes through the two base points; measuring the cross-sectional area of each of at least one of the left ventricle and the aorta, which are formed on the first plane and the multiple second planes; selecting a plane for measuring the size of a bicuspid annulus among the first plane and the multiple second planes based on the measured cross-sectional area; and measuring the size of the bicuspid annulus based on the selected plane.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a Pde6b-deficient animal model of retinal degeneration produced by engineered endonucleases, and a method for producing the same. In the animal model of retinal degeneration according to the present invention, only a specific target gene can be removed using engineered endonucleases, so that mutagenesis can be stably achieved. In addition, it is possible to produce a congenital animal model through genetic manipulation at the embryonic stage rather than through acquired factors, which allows for production of an animal model that uniformly exhibits symptoms of the disease in question without being influenced by other factors.

Abstract: A method of reducing an artifact by using structural similarity. The method includes at least: obtaining a plurality of input Computed Tomography (CT) images including a first CT image and a second CT image, generating an artifact map in which anatomical information is removed and artifacts information is remained, by subtracting the second. CT image from the first CT image, generating, by the computer, a structural similarity map between each CT image and the artifact map, and generating, by the computer, a final reconstructed image by comparing particular parts on images of a plurality of structural similarity maps with each other and selecting data of an input CT image which has been used to generate a particular part of a structural similarity map having a lowest degree of structural similarity, as data of a particular part on the final reconstructed image.

According to the method, sore spots on which a patient may feel pain due to wearing a dental prosthesis are predicted based on a sore spot distribution model which has been modeled with a plurality of data, and the dental prosthesis is digitally designed based on the predicted results. Accordingly, it is possible to improve the prediction accuracy of sore spots and rapidly design the prosthesis which is more appropriate for the patient.

Abstract: A photocatalyst according to the present invention has a structure in which the titanium dioxide doped with the transition metals is supported on the support such that a band gap thereof is low and a specific surface area thereof is high, thereby exhibiting an excellent photocatalytic activity even in a visible light region and providing an excellent effect of adsorbing an organic compound and removing the same even under a condition in which light is not emitted.
