    摘要: In a recording apparatus with an ink jet print head which forms dots on a recording sheet by ink jets shot from an array of nozzles, a microcomputer determines whether a printing defect is a light printing defect caused by paper particles and dust adhering to the nozzles or a heavy printing defect caused by the entry of air bubbles into the ink flow paths. The determination is made on the basis of intervals of operating a print recovery button mounted on a chassis of the recording apparatus. For the light printing defect, the computer puts a cap member to the front face of the nozzles of the print head and applies a negative pressure to the nozzles, thereby to reduce the amount of ink emitted from the nozzles. For the heavy printing defect, the computer increases the amount of ink.

    摘要: A compressed dynamic image encoding device is provided, in which a motion vector is generated by searching a reference image for an image area most similar to an image area of a video input signal; a motion-compensated reference image is generated from the motion vector and the reference image; a prediction residual is generated, by subtracting the motion-compensated reference image from the video input signal; the reference image is generated, by adding the motion-compensated reference image and the result of processing performed to the prediction residual; and an encoded video output signal is generated by the processing performed to the prediction residual. The reference image comprises on-screen reference images, located inside a video display screen, and an off-screen reference image located outside the video display screen, and the off-screen reference image is generated based on the positional relationship of plural similar reference images of the on-screen reference images.

    摘要: A moving image processor includes a first and a second moving image processing unit which are able to perform parallel operation, and a data transfer unit having a first buffer and a second buffer. The first moving image processing unit processes macroblocks MB00, - - - , of one row of one image sequentially, and the second moving image processing unit processes macroblocks MB10, - - - , of the next row sequentially. The first and the second moving image processors include a first and a second deblocking filters, respectively. Operation timing of the second filter is delayed by the processing time of two macroblocks, compared with operation timing of the first filter. The processing results of the first filter and the second filter are transferred to an external memory via the first buffer and the second buffer of the transfer unit.

    摘要: An ink tank cartridge for an ink-jet type recording apparatus is provided. The ink tank cartridge comprises a first chamber and a second chamber formed adjacent the first chamber. A porous member is housed in the second chamber. A partition wall separates the first chamber from second chamber, which communicate through a communication hole therethrough which extends along a portion of the width of the partition wall. An ink supply port extends through a wall of the first chamber and supplies ink to the exterior of the cartridge from the porous member. An air vent is spaced from the ink supply port provides ambient air to the second chamber. The pressure in the first chamber and the second chamber is at a value less than normal atmospheric pressure, and a pressure difference which retains the ink in the first chamber is also maintained between the first and second chambers by the surface tension of the porous member in the vicinity of the communicating hole. The first and second chambers, partition wall, communicating hole, air vent port and ink supply port are positioned and dimensioned so that a pressure difference between the chambers is not maintained as ink is transmitted through the ink supply port, and ink is supplied from the first chamber to the porous member in the second chamber as required until the pressure difference between the chambers is restored.
