    摘要: A pneumatic conveying process transports plastic pellets from a manufacturing source to a bulk silo for storage before being delivered to the ultimate production utilization of the plastic pellets. Multiple types or multiple sources of plastic pellets can be fed through a common pneumatic conveying conduit to respective bulk silos for temporary storage with diverter valves being utilized to direct product into and out of the common conveying conduit. Expanded elbow fittings are deployed at each directional change in the conveying lines to eliminate the creation of streamers at conduit bends. The plastic pellets are conveyed at a medium velocity between dense and dilute phases to provide a gentle conveying operation. A closed loop air supply system is used for dedusting devices providing a final removal of dust and debris from the stored product before being delivered to the ultimate utilization facility.

    摘要: A compact housing for a dedusting apparatus utilizes a magnetic flux field to disrupt the static charge attracting dust particles to product particles, which along with fluidization and counter current airflow principles that are proven to dislodge dust particles from the product, provides a highly efficient, compact deduster. The housing supports a double wash deck with product flow separated between the back-to-back primary wash decks. A deflector directing the flow of product onto the primary wash decks is provided with an extension that extends parallel to the wash deck to eliminated product bouncing off of the wash deck. The lower air outlets are eliminated, while the upper air outlets are positioned in extensions to the main housing above the product inlet opening. Air flow through the Venturi zones is enhanced by directing clean air through slots formed in the lower deck members into the Venturi zones.

    摘要: A cylindrical dedusting apparatus has an upper material infeed opening to introduce material into a frusto-conical infeed hopper centered over the tip of a conical wash deck supported over an air infeed conduit. Air is blown through slots and openings in the surface of the wash deck to separate dust and debris from the particulate material. The dust-laden air is discharged by passing between the infeed hopper and a cylindrical sleeve to enter into a circular collector for discharge from the apparatus. Flow rate of material over the wash deck is adjusted by vertically moving the infeed hopper within the sleeve relative to the wash deck, the tip serving as a stopper to define the dimension of the gap through which material flows onto the wash deck. Cleaned material passes through a lower discharge opening while dirty air is removed through a radially oriented discharge conduit from the circular collector.

    摘要: A recycling mechanism is provided for use with a compact dedusting apparatus to clean the contaminate-laden air discharged from the dedusting apparatus for subsequent re-use by the dedusting apparatus. The recycling mechanism provides a closed loop air containment system that retains the air within the apparatus without providing discharge to the atmosphere. The recycling mechanism includes a cyclonic separator that removes most of the dust and contaminates from the air discharged from the deduster. The air discharged from the cyclonic separator is passed to an inline high efficiency synthetic cartridge filter for final cleaning before being passed back into the fan that drives cleansing air through the deduster. The contaminant material removed by the cyclonic separator is collected by an air tight dust collection container installed at the cyclone outlet for subsequent removal from the system.

    摘要: A cutting apparatus for cutting shrink wrap film residing in a roll. The apparatus includes a first roller pair receiving the film from the roll and carrying the film away from the roll; a second roller pair receiving the sheet of film from the first roller pair and carrying the film away from the first roller pair; a mechanism for providing an air stream to direct the leading edge of the film into the second roller pair; a mechanism for regulating the pressure exerted by the second roller pair against the sheet of film to maintain tension on the film between the first roller pair and the second roller pair; and a rotating blade to cut the film as the film exits the first roller pair, thereby producing a cut sheet of film. The apparatus may also include intermediate supports to prevent roller deflection, thus allowing the use of light-weight rollers to minimize inertia. A method for cutting a sheet of shrink wrap film, including: feeding the film into a first roller pair; feeding the film from the first roller pair into a second roller pair; regulating the pressure exerted by the second roller pair on the film so as to prevent slack from developing in the film without fully tensioning the film; and cutting the film between the first roller pair and the second roller pair.
