    摘要: An optical disk device is provided with an optical pickup that includes a convergent optical system having an objective lens for converging a light beam emitted from the laser light source to form a microspot on an optical disk and an aberration correcting optical system for controlling a spherical aberration of the convergent optical system, and performs information recording or reproduction with respect to a multi-layer optical disk having at least a first recording layer and a second recording layer. In the optical disk device, an operation of changing a correction quantity of the spherical aberration from a value adequate for the first recording layer to a predetermined value is started before an operation of moving a focus position of the microspot from the first layer to the second layer is completed. This allows a focus control to be performed stably with respect to the second recording layer in a state in which the spherical aberration correction already has been carried out, thereby preventing the focus control from failing due to an unsuccessful interlayer jump.

    摘要: The invention presents an optical element with which an optical head can be configured, in which there is little deterioration of the correctional effect when the objective lens shifts, as well as an optical head and an optical recording/reproducing apparatus using such an optical element. The invention also presents a novel optical recording/reproducing apparatus and optical recording/reproducing method. The optical element, includes a first voltage application electrode 13, a first opposing electrode 17 arranged in opposition to the first voltage application electrode 13, and a first phase changing layer 15 arranged between the first voltage application electrode 13 and the first opposing electrode 17. By changing a voltage between the first voltage application electrode 13 and the first opposing electrode 17, a phase that converts plane waves into spherical waves is imparted on light that is incident on the first phase changing layer 15.

    摘要: A light beam emitted from a semiconductor laser element is collimated by a collimating lens, and is applied to an optical disk through a polarizing holographic beam splitter, a .lambda./4 plate and an objective lens, a light beam reflected by the optical disk is applied to the polarizing holographic beam splitter and is diffracted. Diffracted light beams of +1st order and -1st order are applied to two photodetectors, and a focus error signal is obtained on the basis of the diffracted light beam of +1st order and a tracking error signal is obtained on the basis of the diffracted light beam of -1st order.

    摘要: Provided are an optical head and an optical information device capable of inhibiting the temperature rise of a photodetector. An optical head (10) includes a semiconductor laser (101) which emits a luminous flux, an objective lens (105) which focuses the luminous flux emitted from the semiconductor laser (101) on the optical disk (21), and a photodetector (120) which detects the luminous flux reflected by the optical disk (21). The photodetector (120) includes a light receiving part (123) which receives the luminous flux reflected by the optical disk (21), a package (125) which covers the light receiving part (123), and a heat transfer adhesion layer (124) disposed between the package (125) and the light receiving part (123). The heat transfer adhesion layer (124) is formed in a region that is on the light receiving part (123) and includes a light path through which the luminous flux reflected by the optical disk (21) passes.

    摘要: In a method for producing a water absorbent resin by drying a particulate hydrogel having a high solid content concentration (of 45% by weight or more, preferably 50% by weight or more, and more preferably 55% by weight or more), a method for efficient drying water absorbent resin having maintained/improved physical properties is provided.Disclosed is a method for producing a water absorbent resin, comprising: a polymerization step to polymerize an unsaturated monomer, and; a drying step to dry a particulate hydrogel crosslinked polymer, which is obtained by micronization of a hydrogel polymer during or after the polymerization and which has a solid content concentration of 45% by weight or more, wherein, an amount of a peroxide in the particulate hydrogel crosslinked polymer to be dried in the drying step is 1 to 100 ppm relative to the weight of the solid content of the particulate hydrogel crosslinked polymer, and a drying temperature of the particulate hydrogel crosslinked polymer in the drying step is 160° C. or more.

    摘要: An objective lens unit according to the present invention includes a first objective lens 41; and a first lens holder 2 for supporting the first objective lens 41. The first lens holder 2 is formed of a material which transmits ultraviolet. Preferably, the first lens holder 2 includes a through-hole, having first and second openings 2a and 2b, through which light incident on the first objective lens 41 passes, and an opening limiting section 3 provided along a circumferential direction of the through-hole and projecting toward a central axis of the through-hole. The first objective lens 41 is supported so as to block the first opening 2b. The opening limiting section 3 guides light incident thereon from the second opening 2a in a direction away from an optical axis of the first objective lens.
