摘要: The invention relates to a method in a mobile network for resolving a Temporary Block Flow, a TBF, in a wireless network including one or more mobile stations exchanging data with a base station system. The packet data is transmitted by means of one or more RLC/MAC blocks each associated with the TBF. The TBF is identified by means of an Temporary Flow Identity, a TFI, and associated to an MS. The inventive method is applicable in a wireless communication system with an extended TFI addressing space. The method comprises steps of receiving a RLC/MAC block and retrieving a first TFI in the RLC/MAC header. The TFI is compared to an assigned TFI. The capability for the associated MS to resolve TBFs based on extended TFI addressing is determined. If the received first TFI matches assigned TFI and represents a comprehensive TFI for the associated MS, the payload of the RLC/MAC block is decoded. When the first TFI matches assigned TFI value and is identified as a code point to an eTFI, at least a predetermined field of the RLC data block is decoded and an extended TFI, eTFI, is retrieved. The eTFI is compared with an assigned eTFI. Following a match, the payload of the RLC data block is decoded. The procedure is repeated for further RLC/MAC block associated with the TBF until the TBF is resolved. The invention also relates to a mobile station and a base station system used to resolve a TBF according to the inventive method.

摘要: In a mobile network with a plurality of access networks, a control node, which is controlling access of a user equipment to that one of the access networks which is currently used by the user equipment, performs a determination of an access capability of the user equipment in this access network. The control node provides an indication of the determined access capability to a subscriber database associated with the user equipment. When transmitting the indication, a guard timer is started. After determining the access capability, the control node receives an update indication for the user equipment. In response to receiving the update indication, the control node performs a redetermination of the access capability. Further, the control node checks if the guard timer has expired and, only if the guard timer has not expired, provides a further indication of the redetermined access capability to the subscriber database.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method and a transmitting unit for reducing a risk of transmission stalling between a transmitting unit and a receiving unit in a communication network system comprising said transmitting unit arranged to transmit data blocks to said receiving unit. Each data block comprises a block sequence number and transmitted data blocks are stored in a transmission buffer. A transmission buffer window is arranged to control the flow of retransmission of said transmitted data blocks. When the block sequence number has been acknowledged in a piggybacked acknowledgement/negative acknowledgement field, it is only set as acknowledged upon receipt of a packet uplink acknowledgement/negative acknowledgement message or a packet downlink acknowledgement/negative acknowledgement message comprising an acknowledgement for said block sequence number.

摘要: A mobile station receives data for sending to a destination device and determines whether to send the data to the destination device via either short message service (SMS) over service access point identifier 0 (SAPI-0) or SMS over SAPI-3, where SAPI-0 and SAPI-3 comprise different service access points associated with a data link layer of a mobile network. The mobile station selectively sends the location information to the destination device via either SMS over SAPI-0, or via SMS over SAPI-3, based on the determination.

摘要: In a method in a central node of a cellular radio network the central node is adapted to deciding if a mobile station connected to the cellular radio network via a first radio access technology controlled by the central node is to be moved to another radio access technology when a circuit switched call of the mobile station is ended. It is assumed that the cellular radio network is adapted to use a fallback to circuit switched procedure. First it is decided that a CS call for a particular mobile station has ended. Then in it is checked if the CS call was the result of a fallback to CS procedure. The central node then decides if the mobile station is to be moved to another radio access technology based at least partly on the, i.e. if the CS call was a result of a CS fallback procedure.

摘要: A method in a user equipment for handling cell selection is provided. While in dedicated mode the user equipment receives from a radio network node a measurement information message which indicates at least two frequencies associated with a respective cell in a respective radio access technology. While it is in dedicated mode, the user equipment performs measurements on the frequencies to obtain a respective measurement value for each one of them, and receives a selection indicator message comprising a respective priority for each one of the frequencies. The user equipment obtains a respective threshold value for each of the frequencies and successively evaluates the frequencies in descending priority order until a frequency is determined for which the measurement value exceeds its respective threshold value. When entering idle mode, the user equipment selects cell based on the evaluation.
