    摘要: In a method in a central node of a cellular radio network the central node is adapted to deciding if a mobile station connected to the cellular radio network via a first radio access technology controlled by the central node is to be moved to another radio access technology when a circuit switched call of the mobile station is ended. It is assumed that the cellular radio network is adapted to use a fallback to circuit switched procedure. First it is decided that a CS call for a particular mobile station has ended. Then in it is checked if the CS call was the result of a fallback to CS procedure. The central node then decides if the mobile station is to be moved to another radio access technology based at least partly on the, i.e. if the CS call was a result of a CS fallback procedure.

    摘要: A method in a user equipment for handling cell selection is provided. While in dedicated mode the user equipment receives from a radio network node a measurement information message which indicates at least two frequencies associated with a respective cell in a respective radio access technology. While it is in dedicated mode, the user equipment performs measurements on the frequencies to obtain a respective measurement value for each one of them, and receives a selection indicator message comprising a respective priority for each one of the frequencies. The user equipment obtains a respective threshold value for each of the frequencies and successively evaluates the frequencies in descending priority order until a frequency is determined for which the measurement value exceeds its respective threshold value. When entering idle mode, the user equipment selects cell based on the evaluation.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a method for co-ordination of uplink scrambling codes between different radio network controllers (21) and the assignment of such codes to radio connections (27) of user equipments (26) in a code division multiple access (CDMA) communication system. The invention also relates to methods for creating a starting vector used to generate said scrambling codes. According to the invention, a unique subset of scrambling codes is dedicated to each radio network controller (21) by assigning an offset vector (212). Initial starting vectors (215) are composed by concatenating the offset vector (212) and the binary representation of a determining value (216) within the size range of the dedicated code subset. An idle starting vector is selected, e.g., by using a one-dimensional array (217) containing a status bit for each scrambling code and by using the array index (213) as determining value (216).
