Abstract:
A method of selecting a relay user equipment (UE) performed by a remote UE in wireless communication system, and a UE using the method are provided. The method includes determining whether a measurement of a current relay UE is smaller than a threshold and selecting a candidate relay UE satisfying a specific condition as a relay UE when the measurement of the current relay UE is smaller than the threshold. Here, the candidate relay UE is selected as a relay UE only when a measurement of the candidate relay UE is greater than a minimum hysteresis value (minHyst) based on the threshold.
Abstract:
A method for steering traffic performed by a terminal in a wireless communication system and a terminal using the method are provided. The method is characterized by: receiving first system information including a PLMN-ID list on which identities (ID) of a public land mobile network (PLMN) are listed according to a specific order; receiving second system information including RAN auxiliary information related to steering traffic between a first network and a second network; and steering traffic between the first and the second networks based on the first and second system information, wherein the second system information provides RAN auxiliary information for each PLMN, includes the same number of pieces of RAN auxiliary information as the number of PLMNs on the PLMN-ID list, and includes the RAN auxiliary information in the same order as the specific order of the PLMNs on the PLMN-ID list.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for obtaining wireless local area network (WLAN) information in a wireless communication system is provided. An evolved NodeB (eNB) transmits an indication of WLAN offloading support to a mobility management entity (MME), and receiving a list of supported WLAN from the MME. The eNB may decide which access point name (APN), among a list of common APNs, to offload, and broadcast WLAN information and the decided APN to user equipments (UEs). Alternatively, the eNB may decide which APN to offload for a specific UE, and transmit WLAN information and the decided APN to the specific UE via a dedicated signaling.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for controlling traffic steering in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE), which is able to communicate with a first node and a second node simultaneously, may performs a random access to the first node if initiated service corresponds to an emergency service or a service of the UE which has high priority. Alternatively, the UE may acquire bearer steering criterion, which indicates which bearer should be served either at the first node or the second node, from the first node, and determine whether to request the specific bearer service to the first node or the second node according to the bearer steering criterion.
Abstract:
A method for re-selecting a cell by a user equipment and a user equipment using the method are provided. The method comprises: receiving a normal frequency priority capable of being used to re-select a cell; determining whether a particular frequency satisfies a condition for applying a random priority; applying the randomly selected priority instead of applying the normal frequency priority to the particular frequency when the condition is satisfied; and re-selecting the cell on the basis of the randomly selected priority.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting a paging message in a wireless communication system is provided. A mobility management entity (MME) transmits a paging message, which includes an indication of user equipment (UE) capability for paging, to an eNodeB (eNB). The indication of UE capability for paging indicates whether a UE to be paged is a category 0 UE. The category 0 UE has a single receive antenna, and supports a transport block size (TBS) of maximum 1000 bits for a unicast uplink shared channel (UL-SCH) transmission or a unicast downlink shared channel (DL-SCH) reception. Upon receiving the UE capability for paging, the eNB transmits a paging message to a user equipment (UE) based on the UE capability for paging.
Abstract:
Provided is a method for communicating performed by a terminal in a wireless communication system. The method comprises receiving from a first access network a second access network search configuration for searching a second access network, and receiving traffic routing criteria from the first access network. The traffic routing configuration specifies traffic routing criteria for processing traffic of the first access network by routing to a second access network, determining a mobility state of the terminal, searching the second access network based on the second access network search configuration, evaluating whether a second access network entity discovered through the search satisfies the traffic routing criteria, and processing the traffic of the first access network through the second access network entity. The second access network searching and/or the traffic routing criteria satisfaction evaluating is performed based on the mobility state of the terminal that is determined.
Abstract:
A method for performing a measurement in a wireless communication system is provided. A terminal selects one of a plurality of measurement configurations, and performs a measurement according to the selected measurement configuration. Signaling overhead caused by frequently transferring measurement configurations can be reduced.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting an indication in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) transmits/receives traffic with a second network, and transmits an indication, which includes information on the traffic in the second network, to a first network. For traffic steering, the UE may determine whether the traffic is to be offloaded from the second network to a first network or not, and if it is determined that the traffic is to be offloaded from the second network to the first network, the indication may further include a cause value corresponding to offloading.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting an inactivity indication in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE), which transmits/receives Internet protocol (IP) packets of a specific bearer/channel via a first connection with a first node, establishes a second connection with a second node while maintaining the first connection. When the specific bearer/channel is moved from the first node to the second node, the UE transmits an inactivity indication which indicates inactivation of the specific bearer/channel to the first node.
