    摘要: The present discharge lamp lighting device is capable of rapidly breaking or restoring a lamp current or of rapidly reducing or restoring the lamp current. A discharge lamp lighting device, comprises a power supply circuit which supplies power to a discharge lamp, a current breaking switch circuit which selectively interrupts a current flowing through the discharge lamp, a lamp condition detector which detects a condition of the discharge lamp, a target signal generating circuit which generates a target signal for lighting the discharge lamp in a predetermined condition, based on an output from the lamp condition detector, and a target signal holding circuit which selectively holds the target signal, wherein when the current is interrupted by the current breaking switch circuit, the target signal holding circuit holds the target signal.

    摘要: A light source device for use in image readout devices capable of light emission in which a dielectric barrier discharge fluorescent lamp is synchronized with an external synchronization signal without attendant fluctuation in optical power. A phase comparator compares the oscillation signal phase of a variable frequency oscillator divided by a frequency divider with an external synchronization signal. The phase comparator controls the oscillation frequency of a variable frequency oscillator as a function of the phase difference. Consequently, the oscillation phase of the variable frequency oscillator is phase locked by the external synchronization signal. The oscillation signal of the variable frequency oscillator is input to the gate signal generation circuit, and the switch devices of an inverter circuit are opened and closed by the output of a gate signal generation circuit. The direct current voltage output by a DC power source is converted into alternating current voltage and is output by an inverter circuit and is applied to a lamp via a boosting transformer in order to light the lamp.

The simulated arc discharge resistor is connected to the power supply device for electric discharge lamps, and the simulated glow discharge current in the transient state, switched from the state of flow of simulated arc discharge current to the simulated glow discharge resistor, continues to be under 30% of the simulated arc discharge current for less than 10 &mgr;s and the duration until the current recovers to at least 70% of said simulated arc discharge current is less than 100 &mgr;s.

    摘要: Disclosed is a hollow-fiber filter module having a novel structure in which a large number of hollow fibers for filtration use are disposed in a rectilinear fashion, two exit planes are defined by the opposite open ends of the hollow fibers, a filtrate collection chamber is formed over one of the exit planes, and one or more filtrate conduits are provided in order to conduct the filtrate collected in the filtrate collection chamber to the other exit plane. The hollow-fiber filter module permits the efficient utilization of a hollow-fiber filter membrane and, therefore, can reduce the space occupied by the module. Moreover, a plurality of such hollow-fiber filter modules can be connected in series and used in the form of a hollow-fiber filter module assembly having a length of several meters.
