    摘要: A discharge lamp lighting apparatus includes an inverter circuit supplying an AC voltage to a discharge lamp and a resonant circuit that increases a supply voltage supplied to the discharge lamp. The inverter circuit is driven using a first frequency including a resonant frequency of the resonant circuit during a first period in which breakdown and a glow discharge are generated, driven using a second frequency including a resonant frequency of the resonant circuit, lower than the first frequency, during a second period in which an arc discharge is generated, and driven using a third frequency lower than the second frequency, during a third period. Further, a dead time is set in which both of a high-side switching device and a low-side switching device are turned off so that the dead time is longer in the second period than in the first period and the third period.

    摘要: The invention provides a High Intensity Discharge (HID) lamp acoustic resonance suppression method. Whether acoustic resonance is produced or not is judged, and a frequency-modulated current frequency provided by a ballast when the acoustic resonance is produced to fulfill the aim of suppressing the acoustic resonance. The ballast includes an acoustic resonance elimination module. The invention has the beneficial effects that due to the additional arrangement of the acoustic resonance elimination module, acoustic resonance is maximally suppressed, and the optimal stability of a discharge arc is ensured. These characteristics enable the product to stably run for each type of lamp tube and different power.

    摘要: A method of lighting a high-pressure discharge lamp is configured to change a power to be supplied to the high-pressure discharge lamp in accordance with a luminance parameter of an image content. The method includes switching between a low temperature operation and a high temperature operation so as to maintain a condition that mercury encapsulated into an arc tube part of the high-pressure discharge lamp constantly partially deposits without evaporating. The low temperature operation is performed where the temperature in the arc tube part is less than or equal to the deposition temperature of the mercury, whereas the high temperature operation is performed where the temperature in the arc tube part is greater than the deposition temperature of the mercury.

    摘要: Various embodiments provide a projection arrangement. The projection arrangement may include a discharge lamp; and a ballast for the discharge lamp. The ballast is designed to provide, during operation of the projection arrangement, a lamp current in the form of alternating current and having an average frequency and a preset waveform, which has a preset commutation scheme, to the discharge lamp. The preset commutation scheme is preset by a preset time sequence of commutations of the lamp current. The ballast is designed to provide the lamp current in such a way that the preset commutation scheme of the lamp current is deviated from repeatedly with at least one preset intervening time period by at least one DC phase with a preset time duration.

    摘要: In a lighting apparatus containing a high pressure discharge lamp, an alternating current supplied to the discharge lamp at the time of steady lighting of the frequency (basic frequency) selected from a range between 60 and 1000 Hz and a low frequency having a frequency selected from a range between 5 and 200 Hz lower than the basic frequency is generated alternately. The frequency of the low frequency wave is changed in response to the change of the lighting voltage of the discharge lamp. The supply period of the basic frequency is increased and decreased little by little by every predetermined time.
