    Abstract: A switching power-supply unit includes a power conversion circuit, a control circuit, a common-mode choke coil, and half-bridge capacitors. The common-mode choke coil is connected to the control circuit on its side of a direct-current power supply. The half-bridge capacitor is connected to the power conversion circuit on its side of a direct-current power supply, and is connected to the control circuit on its side of the direct-current power supply. A midway point of the half-bridge capacitor is electrically connected to a midway point of the half-bridge capacitor. A noise balancing circuit is configured as a closed circuit including the power conversion circuit, the control circuit, the half-bridge capacitors, and the common-mode choke coil, and causes common-mode currents to be confined and canceled out each other. The common-mode currents are switching noise generated in multiple parts of the closed circuit due to a switching operation of power-conversion switching devices.

    Abstract: An electronic card with biometric authentication function includes a communication antenna for short-range wireless communication, a wireless communication IC, a receiving coil, a resonant capacitor, a rectifying and smoothing circuit, a biometric sensor, and a biometric authentication circuit. The communication antenna and the receiving coil respond to a magnetic field in the same frequency band for the short-range wireless communication. The wireless communication IC performs short-range wireless communication. The receiving coil receives power from the magnetic field in the same frequency band for the short-range wireless communication. The biometric authentication circuit causes the biometric sensor to operate by using the power received from the receiving resonant circuit. The communication antenna and the receiving coil share electromagnetic field energy resonating in the same frequency band for the short-range wireless communication, the electromagnetic field energy being shared because of magnetic coupling between the communication antenna and the receiving coil.

    Abstract: An IC card communicates with a reader/writer, which is inductive read/write communication equipment, in a non-contact manner.     Abstract: Each of a plurality of power conversion units includes an inductor, a switching circuit, and an individual analog controller. An MPU is capable of performing programmable arithmetic processing and outputs oscillation control signals to the plurality of power conversion circuits. Output parts of the plurality of power conversion units are connected to a common output terminal in a parallel manner, and the common output terminal is connected to a load. The individual analog controller is formed of an analog electronic circuit and includes a feedback signal generating part and a driving part. The feedback signal generating part detects the state of the output part of the power conversion unit and generates a feedback signal to be fed back to the power conversion unit. The driving part drives a switching element of the switching circuit.
