Abstract: Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to bandwidth part selections of random access procedure. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, a terminal device receives configuration information from a network device. The configuration information indicates a set of BWPs and configurations of the set of BWPs. When a random access procedure is triggered for a certain feature combination, the terminal device determines whether a condition for switching to a target BWP is fulfilled. If the condition is fulfilled, the terminal device switches to the target BWP. In this way, it improves resource efficiency.

A terminal device determines an identity (ID) of the terminal device based on configuration status of extended Discontinuous Reception (eDRX) and current Radio Resource Control (RRC) state of the terminal device; and determines one or both of paging frame (PF) and paging occasion (PO) based on the determined ID of the terminal device. In this way, paging in the eDRX can work well in RRC idle state or RRC inactive state, and the network and the UE may be synchronized with UE's PF and PO for paging in the eDRX.

In this way, the SDT procedure can be performed with logical channel restrictions, which allows a better isolation of services through specific resource selection. A terminal device obtains a medium access control (MAC) protocol data unit (PDU) comprising a MAC subheader. The MAC subheader comprises a reduced capability (RedCap) bit for indicating that the terminal device supports enhanced RedCap. The terminal device transmits the MAC PDU to a network device. In this way, an indication of the enhanced RedCap can be provided efficiently, for example, without consuming more values of the short logical channel ID (LCID) field in the MAC subheader.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices, methods, apparatuses and computer readable storage media of state transition reporting. The method comprises: determining, at a first device, a DRX configuration for a second device in an inactive state, the second device located within an area served by one or more devices comprising the first device; determining configuration information based at least in part on the DRX configuration; and transmitting, to a third device of a core network, the configuration information to cause the third device to adjust downlink transmissions for the second device. The core network can determine when the UE is reachable and adjust transmissions associated with paging accordingly. As such, a longer eDRX cycle can be achieved without increasing buffering burden at the RAN.
