    Abstract: A surface cleaning apparatus has a dirt collection chamber that is external to a cyclone chamber. The dirt collection chamber has a sidewall having a first sidewall portion that extends outwardly away from the cyclone chamber sidewall and a second sidewall portion that extends from the first sidewall portion towards a distal end of the dirt collection chamber. The cyclone chamber has a dirt outlet that faces the cyclone chamber sidewall.

    Abstract: A feeder for an extruder includes a feed flow passage extending in an axial direction from a feeder inlet to a feeder outlet, and an axially extending rotatable screw provided in the feed flow passage. Rotation of the screw draws a feedstock in a direction of flow to the feeder outlet. The feeder inlet has an inlet passage that overlies the screw. The inlet passage has a width in a plane transverse to the axial direction, and the width decreases in the direction of flow.

    Abstract: A surface cleaning apparatus has a cyclone chamber provided in an air flow path. The cyclone chamber has a screen assembly with an outlet section, a longitudinally spaced apart distal section and a longitudinally extending porous section. The outlet section includes a non-porous member extending longitudinally inwardly an outlet section length from an outlet end of the outlet section to a longitudinally inwardly positioned inlet end of the outlet section. The outlet end of the outlet section overlies a cyclone air outlet. The porous section extends longitudinally inwardly from an outlet end of the porous section that is located at the inlet end of the outlet section. The distal section has a distal section length in the longitudinal direction that is greater than the cyclone outlet port length.
