Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for multi-transmit receive point candidate identification are described. A base station may indicate, to a user equipment (UE), one or more measurements to be performed on multiple transmit receive points (TRPs) for determination of TRP candidates for communications between the UE and the base station. The UE may perform the measurements on each of the TRPs, and transmit a report to the base station that is based on the measurements. The report may be associated with the TRP candidates. The base station may select one or more of the TRP candidates for communications with the UE, and may indicate the selected TRP candidates to the UE.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a first transmit receive point (TRP), a downlink control information (DCI) communication, the UE being included in a multi-TRP configuration with the first TRP and a second TRP. The UE may determine information unique to the first TRP. The information unique to the first TRP may be at least one of associated with the DCI communication or included in the DCI communication. The UE may generate a downlink scrambling sequence initialization code, associated with the first TRP, based at least in part on the information unique to the first TRP. The UE may generate a downlink scrambling sequence, associated with the first TRP, based at least in part on the downlink scrambling sequence initialization code associated with the first TRP. In an example, a user equipment (UE) communicates with a base station on different uplink (UL) and downlink (DL) beam paths. In the example, the UE may indicate to the base station a preferred beam path to use. The UE may indicate the preferred beam path in response to an explicit request from the base station or without an explicit request. The use of different UL/DL beam paths allow beam paths which avoid interference from a user of the UE to be used.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for multiple random access channel (RACH) message 1 (Msg1) transmission for physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) ordered RACH are described. A user equipment (UE) may perform the multiple Msg1 transmission as part of a CFRA or CBRA procedure for access. The UE may perform the multiple Msg1 transmissions in a cyclic consecutive manner during configured RACH occasions or according to explicit time and frequency indications of a random access response (RAR) window. Based on the multiple Msg1 transmission procedure, the UE may reduce latency for random access procedure on the RACH and improve signaling throughput. In some cases, the UE may support beam correspondence and may perform multiple Msg1 transmissions to enhance multi-beam diversity during RACH transmission by performing transmission corresponding to RACH occasions mapped to different synchronization signal blocks (SSBs).

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which a user equipment (UE) may report to a base station a beam switching capability of the UE. The beam switching capability may include a number of beam switches that the UE is capable of performing within a single transmission slot. In some cases, the beam switches may be performed by a UE by applying a particular spatial domain filter for uplink or downlink communications that is associated with a particular transmission and reception beam. In some cases, the base station may schedule transmissions or beam switches during a slot based on the UE capability. The number of beam switches, in some cases, may be determined based on a rule set that defines one or more actions that are to be considered to be a beam change.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit to a base station an indication of a UE capability associated with a beam change at the UE. The UE may receive, from the base station during a scheduling slot, a control signal including a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) and a grant for a transport block over a first slot aggregation including a set of slots. In some cases, each slot of the first slot aggregation is offset from the scheduling slot according to a scheduling constraint based on the indicated UE capability. The UE may transmit or receive the transport block over the first slot aggregation using a UE beam based on the TCI.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to monitor, via a receive beam, a first transmission time interval (TTI) of a plurality of different TTIs for a control resource set. The UE may decode the control resource set to obtain a first grant and a second grant. Upon decoding the control resource set, the UE may determine that the first grant and the second grant are associated with different parameters. In some cases, the parameters may be spatial quasi-colocation (QCL) assumptions mapped to the control resource set. The UE may decode, resources of a shared data channel indicated in at least one of the first grant and the second grant. In some cases, the UE may decode the resources during at least one of the first TTI and a second TTI of the plurality different TTIs.
