摘要: A method and system for providing an open database model that allows the combining of spatial and Attribute data in a single relational database. The integration of spatial and Attribute data allows the data to be accessed by either standard structured query language (SQL) or a GIS viewing application. The invention provides: enhanced performance by avoiding proliferation of segmentation; open dynamic segmentation; integrated temporal data; and automated database maintenance. Permanent anchor sections are provided to define spatial references. The data model allows for intersections in the interior of a link (anchor section), resulting in a more stable form of a link, or anchor section. The use of anchor sections simplifies maintenance of data associated with the anchor sections and facilitates the use of anchor sections in a distributed environment. Database views display data in a simple, tabular format. Access to a continuous archive of historical data is supported.

摘要: Methods and apparatus are provided for managing protocol information in a PNNI hierarchical network. In a PAR-enabled device (1) of the network PAR PTSEs received by the PAR-enabled device (1) from the network are checked to identify redundant protocol information encapsulated in the PAR PTSEs. Protocol information in received PAR PTSEs is then supplied to a protocol device associated with the PAR-enabled device (1). In some embodiments, protocol information identified as redundant is excluded from the protocol information supplied to the protocol device. In other embodiments, the protocol information supplied to the protocol device is tagged to distinguish redundant protocol information from non-redundant protocol information. This facilitates efficient configuration of the network topology for the protocol in question.

摘要: A data storage system includes a data storage array configured for de-duplication of duplicate data therein by: identification of a plurality of portions of data; a comparison of each portion of the data to identify duplicate data and identification of a link associated with each duplicate data; a determination of whether a Hamming link-separation-distance of the identified link is greater than twice a Hamming radius of an error correction code in the data storage system; and replacement of the duplicate data with the identified link when it is determined that the Hamming link-separation-distance is greater than twice the Hamming radius.

摘要: In a method for identifying a unit in a solid state memory device for writing data to a tier structure is maintained the tier structure comprising at least two tiers for assigning units available for writing data to. In response to receiving a request for writing data it is determined if a unit for writing data to is available in a first tier of the at least two tiers. In response to determining that a unit is available for writing data to in the first tier this unit is identified for writing data to, and in response to determining that no unit is available for writing the data to in the first tier it is determined if a unit is available for writing data to in a second tier of the at least two tiers subject to a priority of the write request.

摘要: Electric power supply unit and method for charging accumulators of an electric power supply unit and light electric vehicle with electric power supply unitAccording to the invention an electric drive system is provided for a vehicle. In it is provided a fuel cell for generating a first voltage. Connected to this first voltage is a series connection of accumulators with at least one first accumulator and one second accumulator. A transformer comprises a magnetisable core, wherein the term magnetisable is understood to mean that the magnetic field strength of the core can be changed. In addition, the transformer comprises a primary coil, a first secondary coil and a second secondary coil. The first primary coil can be connected switchably to the first voltage. A first secondary switch is provided to connect the first secondary coil in parallel to the first accumulator. The electric drive system also comprises a second secondary switch for connecting the secondary coil in parallel to the second accumulator. The first secondary switch and the second secondary switch can be switched independently of one another.
