Abstract: A connector device for electrically connecting batteries of electric vehicles and the like comprising a pair of single-pole connectors in which each electrical contacting portion of a wire terminal has an insertion hole for a contact finger of a mating terminal so that the insertion hole is located substantially perpendicular to the axis of the wire terminal, and in which the wire terminal and the electrical contacting portion are mounted in an insulating housing, a connector case body for incorporating the pair of the single-pole connectors and a case cover which can be engaged with the connector case body, provided with a short-circuit terminal having a pair of contact fingers which can be electrically connected to the electrical contacting portion of the terminal. Abstract: A connector assembly for connecting branch connectors to a main mating connector includes a frame capable of being joined with the main connector and the branch connectors being detachably mounted in the frame and capable of connecting with the main connector. The frame includes cavities for receiving each branch connector and extending from a first branch connector receiving face to an opposite face, and first engaging portions for holding each branch connector in the frame. The branch connectors each include a main body having terminals therein, and locking means provided for release from the frame first engagement means. The locking means form a second engaging portion for engagement with the first engaging portion to lock the branch connector in the frame.

Abstract: An electrical connector in which bolts can not be fastened due to the objection of a rear holder unless terminals are fully inserted into terminal accommodating cavities in a connector housing. The electrical connector according to the present invention comprises: a connector housing having terminal accommodating cavities and brackets with mounting holes; and a rear holder inserted into the connector housing, the rear holder having arms for preventing terminals, which are accommodated in the terminal accommodating cavities, from being slipped off such that an end of the arm abuts a rear portion of the terminal, the rear holder further having bolt holes which overlap the mounting holes of the brackets of the housing in a fully locked state of the rear holder to the connector housing.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a connector which comprises a female housing, a male housing to be inserted and fitted into the female housing, first guide member having first confirmation apertures, the first guide member being provided on the female housing, and second guide member having second confirmation apertures, the second guide member being provided on the male housing such that the second guide member is cooperatively guided by the first guide member and such that the first confirmation apertures aligns with the second confirmation apertures at least at a point during the insertion of the male housing into the female housing, whereby the fitting condition between the female and male housings can be detected by detecting the relative positions of the first and second apertures. In order to detect the relative positions, an opto-electronics detector can be used. Then, the amount of the detected light is converted into electrical signal which inputted into a computer, whereby automatic detection of the fitting condition of the housings can be attained.
