摘要： This invention relates an image printing apparatus capable of copying by executing enlargement/reduction (E/R) processing optimum to an instructed mode. According to the apparatus, a copy mode and an enlargement rate are input. The use priority order of each enlargement/reduction (E/R) unit of the apparatus is decided. The enlargement rate is distributed to each E/R unit in accordance with the copy mode, decided use priority order, and the E/R rate upper limit value of each E/R unit. An image is copied by causing each E/R unit to sequentially execute E/R processing in accordance with the distributed enlargement rate and the decided use priority order and causing a printing unit to print based on the image data that has undergone the E/R processing.

Consequently, an image correction processing portion is characterized by a configuration wherein the image correction processing portion secures an image correction buffer to store the image data for at least M+(N−1) lines, and when it is determined that an image correction processing requires decoding processing, the address of an image correction buffer is set as a decoding destination, and the image correction processing for the image data is performed within the set storage area.

摘要： An image forming apparatus in which a visible image is transferred to a transfer material includes a pre-transfer exposing unit that makes only a portion of a latent image carrier that corresponds to a leading edge of the transfer material expose, and a transfer-bias applying unit that applies a bias for transferring the visible image. The liquid crystal display device includes a layered structure comprising, in the following order: a conductive layer; a transparent high-electric resistance layer having a volume resistivity of 10.sup.13 .OMEGA..cndot.cm or more in a 20.degree. C. air at a relative humidity of 90%; a liquid crystal-dispersed polymer layer which has a volume resistivity of 10.sup.13 .OMEGA..cndot.cm or more in a 20.degree. C. air at a relative humidity of 90%; and a transparent insulator layer. The hand-writable liquid crystal board set comprises:(A) a board of the above liquid crystal display device,(B) display means for displaying recording images onto the board surface, and erasing means for erasing the recorded images; and(C) a power source for generating a surface potential between the surface of the liquid crystal board and the conductive layer by the display means;wherein the display means employs a writing member electrically connected to one terminal of the power source which is connected at the other terminal to the conductive layer; and the erasing means employs an erasing member electrically connected to the conductive layer.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes an image bearer; a toner image forming device; an intermediate transferor; a primary transfer power source; a secondary transfer nip forming device; and a secondary transfer power source to output a secondary transfer bias. One of two peak values of the secondary transfer bias is a transfer peak value to provide a greater transfer-directional force to move toner from the intermediate transferor toward the recording medium in the secondary transfer nip. An absolute value of the transfer peak value is greater than an absolute value of the primary transfer bias.
