摘要: A method of molding a sandwich panel includes a step of providing, on one or both surfaces of an (a) core material, a prepreg or the prepreg and an adhesive as a (b) skin material. The (a) core material is a super engineering plastic foam having a glass transition temperature of greater than 200° C. The (b) skin material contains: a (b-1) epoxy resin having an average molecular weight of 1300 or more or having a trishydroxymethane-type or cresol novolac-type structure and containing, in a total epoxy resin, an amount of 70 to 100 mass % of an epoxy resin that is semi-solid or solid; a (b-2) epoxy resin containing, in the total epoxy resin, an amount of 0 to 30 mass % of an epoxy resin that is liquid; and a (b-3) curing agent.

摘要: This specification generally relates to aqueous compositions for preparing UV stable fire-resistant interlayers. It also relates to UV stable fire-resistant glazing laminates comprising such interlayers, the use of such glazing laminates in construction, and constructions comprising such glazings. An example aqueous composition comprises a mixed alkali metal silicate of general formula SiO2·M2O, where M is K or Na, and other organic and inorganic additives. Glazings with interlayers made with such aqueous compositions are simple to prepare and demonstrate good UV stability and fire-protection properties.

The woven fabric, the non-woven fabric, or the knitted face fabric is needle punched such that fibers protrude into the non-woven fabric. The woven fabric, the non-woven fabric, or the knitted face fabric has a first polymer having a first melting point and a second polymer having a second melting point being higher than the first melting point. The nonwoven backing material comprises a third polymer having a third melting point and a fourth polymer having a fourth melting point being higher than the third melting point. The woven fabric, the non-woven fabric, or the knitted face fabric is further bonded to the nonwoven backing material applying heat to at least partially melt or soften the first polymer and the third polymer such that they bond together.

摘要: A release film including a monoaxially or biaxially oriented multilayer polyolefin-based film having a crystallizable polyolefin core film layer and at least one coextruded skin layer having a poly-4-methyl-1-pentene composition blended with an olefin copolymer elastomer modifier. The film's release surface has a peeling force value of 1500 g/inch or less and a 60° angle surface gloss of below 50 gloss units (GU). An embodiment is a film structure having (a) a metal transfer carrier film having polyolefin as described above and (b) a coated metal layer having a metal layer and a coating layer, wherein the coating layer lies between the metal layer and the metal transfer carrier film, wherein the metal transfer carrier film is configured to allow transfer of the coated metal layer onto a substrate, so that after transfer of the coated metal layer onto the substrate, the coating layer is located on top of the substrate.

A method for configuring such a structural composite component; and an aircraft or spacecraft including such a structural composite component are also described.
