    摘要: A system for distributed phased array multiple input multiple output (DPA-MIMO) communications is disclosed. The system includes beamforming (BF) modules. Each BF module comprises a beamforming antenna, a downconverter that downconverts a beamformed antenna radio frequency signal to an intermediate frequency signal, and an upconverter that upconverts an intermediate frequency signal to a radio frequency signal and sends said radio frequency signal to said beamforming antenna for transmission. The system further includes intermediate frequency (IF) radios. Each IF radio comprises a downconverter that downconverts an intermediate frequency signal sent from a BF module to a baseband signal, and an upconverter that upconverts said baseband signal to an intermediate frequency signal that is transmitted to a beamforming module. The system can be designed for a wearable virtual reality (VR) device, a VR base station, an automotive vehicle, an aerial vehicle, a high altitude platform (HAP) system, and a foldable handheld device.

    摘要: Methods and apparatuses for interference control have been disclosed. A method for a base station in a wireless communication system, comprising: obtaining a system setting of the wireless communication system; selecting a transmission mode based at least in part on the system setting, wherein the transmission mode is one of an Interference Cancellation IC transmission mode and a Beamforming BF transmission mode; and configuring the selected transmission mode. The total system throughput may be maximized by dynamically switching the transmission mode between IC and BF at the base station. Further, the proposed switching mechanism may be applied to various communication networks where downlink interference may occur.

    摘要: Techniques are generally described related to a method and system for treating an injury with a bone screw. One example bone screw may be configured to fracture at a pre-selected frangible location so that the point of failure is not in an inaccessible location, e.g., deeply embedded below the surface of a treated bone. The bone screw may further include a material disposed over the frangible location that is designed to temporarily strengthen the screw and selected to be absorbed by the body over a period of time after installation of the screw in the bone. One example bone screw may include an unthreaded portion that is configured to facilitate removal of an embedded screw fragment from a bone in the event that the screw fails in vivo.
