    摘要: A plasma display panel (PDP) includes first and second substrates opposing one another with a predetermined gap therebetween. The PDP also includes address electrodes formed on a surface of the first substrate opposing the second substrate, and barrier ribs formed in the gap between the first and second substrates. The barrier ribs define discharge cells, and a phosphor layer is formed in each of the discharge cells. Further, discharge sustain electrodes made of a metal material are formed on a surface of the second substrate opposing the first substrate. The discharge sustain electrodes include line sections, each pair of which is formed corresponding to each discharge cell, and extensions are formed extending from the line sections into each of the discharge cells to define openings. Also, indentations are formed in distal ends of each of the extensions such that discharge gaps of differing sizes are formed between each pair of the extensions.

The discharge sustain electrode has first bus electrode portions spaced apart from each other by a certain distance, second bus electrode portions at least partially separated from the first bus electrode portions while being electrically connected thereto, and transparent electrodes not overlapped with the second bus electrode portions but being electrically connected to the first bus electrode portions. Interconnection electrodes are arranged over the barrier ribs to interconnect the first and second bus electrode portions.

    摘要: A plasma display panel. A first substrate and a second substrate are provided opposing one another with a predetermined gap therebetween. Address electrodes are formed on the second substrate. Barrier ribs are mounted between the first substrate and the second substrate, the barrier ribs defining a plurality of discharge cells and a plurality of non-discharge regions. Phosphor layers are formed within each of the discharge cells. Discharge sustain electrodes are formed on the first substrate. The non-discharge regions are formed in areas encompassed by discharge cell abscissas and ordinates that pass through centers of each of the discharge cells. Further, each of the discharge cells is formed such that ends thereof increasingly decrease in width along a direction the discharge sustain electrodes are formed as a distance from a center of the discharge cells is increased along a direction the address electrodes are formed.

    摘要: A plasma display panel to prevent misdischarge in a non-discharge region. The plasma display panel includes a first substrate and a second substrate facing the first substrate. A plurality of display electrodes are formed extending on the first substrate, and a plurality of address electrodes are formed extending on the second substrate and cross the display electrodes. Barrier ribs including a plurality of barrier rib members are positioned between the first substrate and the second substrate, and form a plurality of discharge cells and non-discharge regions. A phosphor is formed inside each of the discharge cells. Each of the non-discharge regions includes one of exposure regions where a part of one of the display electrodes is exposed. The exposure regions are placed alternately in an extending direction of the display electrodes.
