Abstract: A foldable traffic sign system comprises a relatively rigid sign panel and a plurality of folding lines disposed in the sign panel, for permitting ready folding of the sign panel into a substantially smaller configuration. In a preferred embodiment, at least one cut is disposed partially along a dimension of the sign panel, to further facilitate ready folding of the sign panel. One of the folding lines is disposed substantially horizontally across a center region of the sign panel, and at least one of the folding lines is disposed substantially vertically on the sign panel, and intersects with the horizontal folding line. The plurality of folding lines creates a plurality of sign sections, preferably six, defined by a combination of the folding lines and cuts in the sign panel. The sign system further comprises a folding sign stand, and a tote for containing both the sign panel and sign stand.

Abstract: A trailer-mounted crash impact attenuator is disclosed for attachment to a host vehicle, which comprises an anti-rotational attachment system having an internal support tube and a plurality of external support tubes. The internal support tube has a connector on a front end thereof for attachment to a suitable receptacle on the host vehicle, and the plurality of external support tubes each have an anti-rotation support pad on a front end thereof. At least one of the internal support tube and the plurality of external support tubes is comprised of a telescoping construction. A backup frame is disposed on a rear end of the attachment system, and a crash attenuator unit is disposed on an axle and pair of wheels for mobility. When the crash attenuator is impacted by an errant vehicle, the anti-rotational attachment system is actuated to prevent the trailer mounted crash impact attenuator from rotating relative to the host vehicle.

Abstract: A safety delineator is provided which includes a conical body portion to which is attached one or more vertical panels. A new and improved handle feature permits easy and comfortable full hand gripping of the delineator and also prevents sticking and jammning together of a plurality of the delineators when they are stacked. The delineators may be stacked without removing the vertical panels, since each vertical panel is particularly designed to wrap around the conical body portion to which it is attached as another vertical delineator slides over it.

Abstract: An energy absorbing guardrail crash attenuator system comprises a row of two or more compressible sections comprising left and right curved, metal side panels. The row of compressible sections extends in an axial direction from a front end and terminates in a back end that is engagable with a rigid backup. When the row is impacted by a vehicle in the axial direction, the compressible sections bend outwardly and absorb energy. When the row is impacted in a direction that is off of the axial direction, the row redirects the vehicle so as not to hit the "coffin corner" of the rigid backup. The front ends of the left and right metal panels are flexibly joined while the back ends are pivotly joined to the rearwardly adjacent section. The panels may have panel bending modifications for facilitating the axial compression of the sections. The row may have an axial movement guide to restrict lateral movement of the row of compressible sections. The front of the row may extend into an array of containers of particulate mass, such that the attenuation system performs gating and redirecting functions.

Abstract: An adjustable bracket is disclosed for use in mounting a display sign, equipment, or the like on the post of a support stand, which is quick and easy to use, requires no tools, is easy to fabricate, and is adaptable to posts of different sizes and shapes. Abstract: A quick release mechanism is provided for securing a member to a structure, such as a support leg to a sign stand, wherein the member includes a slot having a bottom surface and the structure has a slot having an open top end. A latch member releasably attaches the member to the structure, and is adapted to extend axially through both the member and structure slots, so that a proximal portion of the latch member extends forwardly of the member slot and a distal portion of the latch member extends rearwardly into the structure slot. With this arrangement, when the latch member proximal portion is actuated downwardly, the latch member distal portion swings upwardly through the open top end of the structure slot, thereby disengaging from the structure slot and releasing the member so that it may pivot relative to the structure.

Abstract: An impact tracking system includes a sensor module that mounts to a fixed crash attenuator, sign, guardrail, or other roadway devices installed along a roadway. When the crash attenuator or other asset is impacted by an errant vehicle, the impact tracker, comprising a sensor system, senses and captures the impact data and sends an alert message to a remote receiver. The receiver may comprise known data receiving means, such as computers or phone systems, which may receive emails, text messages, photos, and the like in real or near real time. Received data may be analyzed, stored, and/or re-transmitted to additional receivers, which may include road authorities, such as transportation departments responsible for inspecting and repairing the impact attenuators.
