摘要: A variety of amphiphobic porous materials are provided. The materials can include a variety of porous frameworks that have an outer surface functionalized by a plurality of perfluoroalkyl moieties. By careful selection of appropriate perfluoralkyl moieties, hydrophobic properties can be imparted to the exterior surface of the porous materials without significantly impacting the wetting properties of the porous interior. This can be used to create a variety of highly amphiphobic porous materials. Methods of making and using the amphiphobic porous materials are also provided.

摘要: Disclosed are various embodiments for batched query processing and optimization in database management systems. A single algebraic expression is generated based at least in part on applying equivalence rules to algebraic expressions for a plurality of database queries of a database comprising a set of relations. The equivalence rules involve relational operators comprising Psi (ψ) operators. The database can be queried using a single database query to create a result that is equivalent to the plurality of database queries.

摘要: A method, apparatus, or system for reducing gait asymmetry is disclosed. The method, apparatus, or system may include measuring one or more gait parameters of an individual; calculating a joint metric based on the measured one or more gait parameters; and signaling an adjustment of an amount of one or more perturbation techniques based on the joint metric for reducing asymmetry in a gait pattern of the individual. The one or more perturbation techniques include asymmetric rhythmic auditory cueing making a first audible cue with a first cue duration for one leg of the individual and a second audible cue with a second cue duration for another leg of the individual. Here, the first cue duration is different from the second cue duration. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.
