    摘要: The present invention sets forth an implement which enables the user to mix paint, and optionally to perform several other painting related functions. The implement has a perforated paddle with oppositely deflected upper portions to enhance mixing of the paint. The implement may be selectively positionable to either mix paint or to support a paint roller for cleaning. A paint can remover and a paint can rim cleaning device are also incorporated into the implement. A single implement can serve the functions of opening paint cans, stirring paint in a container, cleaning the groove around the lip of a paint can, cleaning a paint roller, and as a spatula to aid in removing paint from a can.

    摘要: A method and an apparatus for generating gas bubbles, which can generate a large amount of micro gas bubbles having diameters of less than 15 μm, specifically less than 10 μm, in a liquid. The apparatus comprises a tube 2 having a closed end 14 at one end and an open end 15 at the other end, and a rotating bladed wheel 3 installed in the tube 2 and rotating coaxially or substantially coaxially with the tube 2. A liquid sprayed in a direction from a rotating axis to the rotors is hit by the porous rotors, creating fine liquid particles, so that a mass transfer takes place between the surfaces of the liquid particles and a gas injected into the reactor, and thus a crystallization reaction is initiated. The crystallization reaction is confined by the amounts of the reactants contained in the liquid particles, and will stop as soon as one of the reactants is consumed, so that the resulting crystals can be controlled in nanometer level. The reactor of the present invention is also suitable for use in a liquid-liquid reaction, wherein two different liquids are separately sprayed in a direction from the rotating axis and hit by the porous rotors, and the resulting fine liquid particles of the two different liquids contact and react with each other, so that ultra fine particles are formed.

    摘要: A mixing hoe including an elongated handle and a hoe blade attached to the handle is adapted for mixing material in a walled container. The blade forms a bottom edge, opposing upper edge, and first and second opposing side edges. The upper edge has adjacent edge sections extending outwardly and downwardly, from a central recess or opening in the blade upper edge, to respective first and second side edges. The upper edges are bent backward for creating flow patterns. The first and second side edges extend downwardly and inwardly from the upper edge sections outer extremes to the bottom edge. The edges are sloped and the edge corners are rounded to closely resemble container corner and wall characteristics. The blade is manipulated by a user grasping the handle to position at least one of the five scraping edges (two top, two side and bottom) against the base and walls of the container to scrape away material adhering to the base and walls of the container during mixing.

    摘要: A motorized mixer for mixing bone cement for use in attachment of prosthetics and method for using the mixer. The mixer comprises a mixing chamber, a liner in the mixing chamber, an impeller within the liner, a motor for driving the impeller and programmable memory mechanics for regulating the operations of the motor. The liner comprises a basket for receiving vials of bone cement catalyst and a mixing bowl for receiving the bone cement powder. Preferably the two are permanently attached to one another. The mixing bowl is also used for mixing the two components together to produce the bone cement. During mixing the mixing bowl is maintained under a vacuum to withdraw fumes from the bone cement and to prevent gases from being mixed into the bone cement. Once mixing is complete, a U-shaped trap door releases the mixed bone cement from the mixing bowl, through a discharge tube and into a bone cement cartridge. By maintaining the interior of the bone cement cartridge under a vacuum, the withdrawal of the bone cement is simplified.
