Abstract: A roller-and-rail cargo handling system that includes tracked rollers and side rails for receiving cargo pallets. A trolley system is used to move the pallets along the tracked rollers, which includes a trolley movable along a trolley track by one or more cables. The trolley includes (1) a body sized and configured for sliding beneath the pallet located on the tracked rollers, and (2) a pawl in a cavity of the body which is mounted for rotation between closed and open positions. In the open position the pawl extends above an upper surface of the body to engage a cutout of a pallet and exert a moving force thereto, and in the closed position the pawl is sufficiently within the cavity to permit the trolley to slide beneath the pallet without engagement thereof.

Abstract: A structure and method for safely loading and unloading pallet carts to and from multi-level commercial storage racks includes a security structure to catch the carts, in case they fall during the loading or unloading procedure. A pair of rail structures typically extends from the front to the rear of a storage bay. Pallet transportation carts travel on a lower surface of these rail structures and the pallets rest on an upper surface of the rails. A cart security structure in the form of a grate is positioned under the rails, at least at the front of the storage bay. The cart security structure should be about as wide as the space between the rails and should be sufficiently below the rails, so as not to interfere with cart movement. The structure should be constructed to prevent the accumulation of items that can interfere with pallet loading.

Abstract: A pallet conveying device includes a circulating belt provided to extend along a conveying path so as to be capable of being circulated, the circulating belt being configured to convey a pallet, a driving mechanism configured to circulate the circulating belt, and a stopper mechanism configured to stop conveying of the pallet regardless of the circulation of the circulating belt. The circulating belt has a free flow belt capable of stopping the conveying of the pallet by the stopper mechanism, and a conveying belt provided continuously to the free flow belt. A circulating speed of the conveying belt is different from a circulating speed of the free flow belt.

Abstract: In a method for storing and picking stackable article carriers in a picking warehouse, transport loading aids are transported between a loading station with an automatically operated loading device, a storage zone and a removal station with an automatically operated unloading device using autonomously movable, driverless transport vehicles. Abstract: Examples provide a dynamic pallet-build system for generating pallet-build instructions in real-time during pallet-build. Pallet-build instructions, including an assigned location for a next item in an item placement sequence is output to a user. If the next item is placed in an incorrect location on the pallet, a temporary placement query requesting a temporary placement status of the incorrectly placed item is output to the user. If the placement is temporary, the assigned location of the next item in the item placement sequence is output. If the placement is permanent, a modified location of the next item in the original item placement sequence or an assigned location of the next item in a modified item placement sequence is output to the user. The dynamic pallet-build system dynamically outputs assigned locations for each item in the item placement sequence until pallet-build is complete.
