    摘要: A process is disclosed for producing cement clinker, comprising the steps of: a) providing a mixture of ground calcareous materials and ground argillaceous materials; b) heating the mixture of step a) to a temperature sufficient to calcine and fuse the ground materials to form the cement clinker, and thereby producing an exhaust gas containing CO2; c) catalysing the hydration of at least a portion of the CO2 contained in the exhaust gas and producing a solution containing bicarbonate ions and hydrogen ions; and d) adding to the solution obtained in step c) metal ions, and adjusting the pH of the solution to precipitate a carbonate or said metal. Preferably, the metal ions are Canullnull obtained from the dissolution of a material selected from the group consisting of CaCl2, cement kiln dust and sea salts and the carbonate is CaCO3 which is advantageously recycled into the process by adding the CaCO3 to the mixture of step a). A cement plant for performing this process is also disclosed.

    摘要: A method of recycling cement kiln dust (CKD) generated during the direct manufacturing of cement. The recycling process utilizes the creation of a flowable slurry comprising CKD, a process aid, optionally other raw materials and water. The process aid is selected from the group consisting of sucrose, raffinose, lignin, methylglucopyranoside, lactose, fructose, sodium polyphosphate, trehalose and mixtures thereof, and is added to increase the flowability of the slurry and thereby simplifying recycling. The slurry is reintroduced into the cement kiln, wherein it is burned to create cement clinkers, that are subsequently ground to the fineness required for hardening when reacted with water.

    摘要: A method is disclosed for obtaining useful products from cement kiln waste dust. The dust is collected and added to an electric arc furnace where it is melted. The temperatures required to melt the dust are sufficiently high that alkali sulfates present in the dust are volatilized, leaving a melt which has a composition acceptable for the production of cement clinker. The volatilized components are collected to form a second useful product; i.e., a potassium rich material suitable for the production of potassium bearing chemicals, such as fertilizers.

    摘要: This invention concerns a cement kiln flue dust treatment process comprising: in a first stage treating the dust with fresh water at an elevated temperature for such time as to dissolve the alkali metal chlorides, simultaneously carbonating to convert calcium hydroxide in solution to insoluble calcium carbonate, then treating the slurry thus formed in a second stage with additional water at an elevated temperature and for such time as to dissolve substantially all the remaining alkali metal sulphates, again simultaneously carbonating to convert calcium hydroxide in solution to the insoluble calcium carbonate, filtering the slurry from the second stage, and recovering potassium chloride and potassium sulphate as desired from the filtrate.
