摘要: Road feel is created in a vehicle that has a steer-by-wire system using image data obtained from one or more cameras on the vehicle and image data obtained from a light detection and ranging (LIDAR) sensor. A generative adversarial network (GAN) machine learning (ML) model is used to determine a road surface based on the image data from the one or more cameras and the image data from the LIDAR sensor. Haptic vibrations are generated based on the determined road surface to create the road feel using one or more motors on various vehicle components.

摘要: A linear-travel mechanical switch for use in a headphone device comprises a user button attached to a plunger. The plunger extends into a body of the headphone device. A travel pathway extends in a first linear direction from the plunger and in a second, opposite linear direction from the plunger. At least one bias device is integrated into the linear-travel mechanical switch. The at least one bias device biasing the plunger to a middle position along the travel pathway. A plunger button is located such that depressing the user button engages the plunger button. A first button is located such that a movement of the user button along the travel pathway in the first linear direction engages the first button. A second button is located such that a movement of the user button long the travel pathway in the second, opposite linear direction engages the second button.

摘要: An example method of adjusting a detachable display capsule of a wrist-wearable device to operationally complement a wearable-structure attachment is disclosed. The method includes, while a display capsule is configured to use a default set of display characteristics for operating-system or application-level user interfaces, receiving identifying information for a respective wearable structure, the display capsule being configured to detachably couple to one of a plurality of wearable structures to form a wrist-wearable device. In accordance with a determination that the display capsule should be adjusted based on the identifying information, the method further includes adjusting the display capsule (i) to cease using the first set of display characteristics and (ii) to instead use a customized set of display characteristics associated with the respective wearable structure. The customized set is distinct from the default set and is also used in conjunction with the operating-system or application-level user interfaces.

A vibration of the first vibration member is superposition of a first vibration at a first resonance frequency and a second vibration at a second resonance frequency, a vibration of the second vibration member is superposition of the first vibration and the second vibration, and the second resonance frequency is a multiple of the first resonance frequency.

The second vibration command is in a format different from that of the first vibration command. The different type of vibration device is of a type different from that of the vibration device.

摘要: A disclosed system includes a computing device that generates a virtual reality simulation, a head mounted display worn by a user, and a peripheral device having a haptic actuator. The system is configured to generate an immersive simulation experience for a user of the system and to control and update the virtual reality simulation based on detected motion of the peripheral device and signals generated by the peripheral device in response to user input to the peripheral device. The peripheral device includes a trigger that causes the haptic actuator to generate haptic reaction forces/impulses in response to actuation of the trigger, with actuation of the trigger further influencing the virtual reality simulation. The peripheral device includes first and second grips and is configured to be held by one hand of a user holding the first grip or by two hands of the user holding the first and second grips.
