    摘要: An optical pickup device has a DVD/CD laser diode for emitting a DVD/CD laser beam as linear polarized light, and a BD laser diode for emitting a BD laser beam. The optical pickup device has a dichroic mirror that regularly reflects a part of the DVD/CD laser beam, transmits a part of the DVD/CD laser beam, and transmits return light of the BD laser beam. The dichroic mirror is formed so that a product of reflectance of outward light of the DVD/CD laser beam and transmittance of return light of the DVD/CD laser beam becomes 20% or more to 25% or less. A light receiving element receives the return light of the DVD/CD laser beam transmitted through the dichroic mirror or the return light of the BD laser beam transmitted through the dichroic mirror.

    摘要: An optical pickup includes a wave plate on an optical path to be followed by every light beam emitted from three light sources (with wavelengths λ1, λ2 and λ3, respectively) both on their way toward an optical disc and back from the disc toward a photodetector. The wave plate has two layers with different retardations and different optic axis directions. The sum of the retardations of the first and second layers is defined to be approximately 5/4λ1, 3/4λ2 and 1/2λ3 to the light beams with the wavelengths λ1, λ2 and λ3.

Another disclosed lens actuator includes: an objective lens and a drive coil disposed on a lens holder, wherein a diffractive element is disposed on the lens holder via an inertia weight including a metallic material and disposed so as to face the objective lens.
