The housing has a shaft for accepting a central bore of a line dispensing spool and an adjustment mechanism for selectively adjusting the shaft in position transversely away from the rod axis while maintaining its position along the rod axis. The fishing reel housing includes an adjustable line retainer assembly which moves a line retainer radially outwardly from the shaft as the adjustment mechanism is selectively adjusted. A fishing reel comprises the adjustable line retainer and reel housing with a spool with a central bore mounted thereon.

摘要： Disclosed herein is a fishing reel having a centrifugal brake system. The fishing reel includes a frame, a shaft, a spool and a centrifugal brake system. The centrifugal brake system includes a support member, a plurality of brake shoes, a brake disc, a controller and a connection member. The support member is provided on one side of the spool and is rotated in conjunction with the spool. The brake shoes are radially coupled to the support member by respective shaft pins. Each brake shoe has a heavy weight part and a light weight part on opposite sides based on the shaft pin to have a weight eccentric structure. The controller adjusts a distance between the brake disc and the brake shoes, thus controlling braking power. The connection member is coupled to the support member and includes protruding stoppers which limits swing displacement angles of the respective brake shoes.

The brake shoe is supported by a rotating member so as to be pivotal between a braking position where the brakes are applied to the spool with a centrifugal force and a non-braking position where a non-braking rotation of the spool is allowed. The brake drum is configured to come into contact with the brake shoe. The selective fixing member is mounted to the rotating member. The selective fixing member selectively fixes the brake shoe to the non-braking position by selectively engaging with the brake shoe.
