摘要： The tool is in the form of a clip shaped of a single bent length of sheet spring material having a first leg of flat shape joined by a U-section to a second leg. The free end of the second leg is bent as a right angle flange with the end of the flange bearing against the first leg to serve as a clamp jaw against a fishing line held between the flange and the first leg. The mid-section of the second leg between the jaw and the U-section is formed as a V-section with the tip of the V-section resting on the first leg and serving as a fulcrum. Squeezing pressure on the section of the second leg between the U-section and the V-section applied towards the first leg causes the flange to move away from the first leg to free a line clamped between the first leg and the flange.

摘要： A fish line holder comprising a housing having an internal cavity with a pair of parallel tapering walls into which a wedge is fitted. The wedge has a plurality of rollers along one edge, and a spring which forces it toward the narrow end of the tapering cavity. There is an opening at the small end of the housing, leading into the cavity into which can be positioned a fishing line or cord, usually a monofiliment line. After the cord is inserted in the space between the wedge and the wall of the cavity, the force of the spring pressing the wedge makes it possible to grip the cord. A release rod is inserted in the side of the wedge, which extends to the outside of the housing through a slot which is parallel to the internal surface on which the rollers run. Pressure on the release rod forces it back against the spring toward the large end of the cavity, thus releasing the grip of the wedge on the cord. Various terminations of the housings at the end opposite said opening can be provided such as a screw, hook, swivel or other means.

The knot tyer described further comprising a clinch knot adapter insertable through one of said knobs and having a hook on its inner end for receiving a line portion therethrough and having a spring assembly biasing a shaft for pulling said hook away from an opposite knob which latter can be twisted for twisting the line.

The release device includes a resilient plug having a first connecting pin fixedly secured thereto for connection to either the outrigger or the downrigger. A second connecting pin is slidably and frictionally received within one of a plurality of different sized bores formed in the resilient plug, the magnitude of frictional engagement between the second connecting pin and the resilient plug being determined by the size of the selected bore. The second connecting pin is interconnected to the trolling line and is slidably releasable from the resilient plug in response to a predetermined drag imposed on the line.

They are then knotted and the knots are pulled back into the side opening to complete the connection.
