    摘要: The discharge device comprises a member having a plurality of liquid flow openings, an eductor tube, a liquid flow path from the eductor tube to the member with the plurality of liquid flow openings and a valve positioned in the liquid flow path. The valve is movable between a blocking position and a discharge position. The valve is operative in the blocking position to block the liquid flow path and is operative in the discharge position to unblock the liquid flow path. Further, a cap member having a discharge orifice which is larger than any of the plurality of openings is mounted over the member having the plurality of openings. The device produces a fine spray mist. However, the device can also be used to produce a foam by placing a screen over the orifice.

The valve unit supports a member for shutting-off the eductor tube in its air-suction position. The valve unit is provided with a valve cap having an external face which is applied against an internal face of the container cover in the spray-discharge position and cooperates with the internal face so as to form a nozzle for discharging liquid through the container-cover orifice in an atomized spray pattern.

    摘要: A disposable oil drain pan and container combination features a large sidewall opening which is sealed by a removable screw cap. The oil pan and container combination is intended for use as (a) a container for new motor oil for purchase at a retail establishment, and (b) a disposable drain pan receptacle for use in changing oil in an automobile. The capacity of the container is preferably five quarts so that its contents can be emptied directly into the crankcase of an automobile during an oil change. After the contents have been emptied into the crankcase, the container assembly is set aside until time for the next oil change. At that time, the large screw cap is removed from the side for the container and the container is laid flat beneath the crankcase so that the used oil can drain directly into the container through sidewall opening. After the draining procedure has been completed, the cap is screwed on securely so that the filled container can be discarded.

A funnel member is disposed within the sleeve and is movable within the sleeve between a first position and a second position. The funnel member is in the first position when the container is in an upright position whereby liquid can be introduced into the container through the funnel member and the escape of vapors from liquid contained in the container through the sleeve is substantially restricted. The funnel member is in the second position when the container is tipped to pour liquid therefrom whereby liquid in the container can flow past the funnel member between the sleeve and the funnel member.

    摘要: A non-return valve unit for a bottle having a mechanism for preventing dripping and for giving a controlled discharge of liquid from the bottle, suitable for use with any type of bottle neck by insertion in the said neck and especially for bottles adapted to receive "pilfer-proof" caps. The valve unit consists of only three elements made up generally of a cylindrical slightly frusto-conical body having a brim for preventing dripping and having a septum in its interior where the seat of a generally circular valve is positioned. Radial septa which support an annular guide for the stem of a check or retention valve, form a component part of this septum. An upper chamber in the body houses a pouring device of a frusto-conical shape. The pouring device has a cylindrical wall internally supported by radial septa which ends in a frusto-conical surface; and provides together with the inner cylindrical surface of the pourer a circular area of discharge. The pouring device also provides guide ridges for guiding the movement of the upper stem of the retention valve which, on moving upward rests against the lower edge of the said inner cylindrical wall. The shape of the base of retention valve being the same as that of the inner frusto-conical surface to which the assembly is connected, providing, when the valve rises for the discharge of the liquid by tilting the bottle with the inner wall of the pourer, a discharge circular space allowing a controlled discharge free of turbulence.
