摘要： A life vest stowage device (1) comprises a receptacle (2) for stowing a life vest (3). The receptacle (2) has an opening (4) through which the life vest (3) is inserted into and removed from the receptacle (2). A closure is provided, by which the opening (4) can be opened and closed. The closure comprises a tongue (5) on a first side of the opening (4). The tongue (5) is arranged such that it can be folded across the opening (4) to obstruct the opening (4). On a second side of the opening (4), opposite to the first side of the opening (4), there is provided a pocket (6). The pocket (6) is arranged so that the tongue (5) can be inserted into the pocket (6) when the tongue is folded to obstruct the opening (4). With the tongue (5) folded to obstruct the opening (4) and inserted in the pocket (6), first and second strips (7, 16) of a second material are aligned with one another and can be squeezed together so that the closure is substantially flat. This ensures that the tongue (5) is secured in the pocket (6) by a hook and loop fastener and allows a security seal (17) to be applied to the closure.

The first and second sidewalls may be made from pliable thermoplastic material and may be joined together about their edges. To access the interior volume, the first and second top edges of the bag may remain un-joined to provide an opening. The bag may include a deformed portion. The deformed portion may cause some of the material to be offset or lie out of plane with respect to the material prior to deformation. The deformed portion may assist a user in grasping the top of the bag.

摘要： A take out carton and a blank for forming the same is disclosed having a gabled top portion and unique locking closure which provides additional stability for the carton. More particularly, a carton is disclosed having a tubular side wall and an auto-erecting lock bottom. The subject carton further includes a pair of opposed top panels, each having a pair of tab receiving apertures disposed adjacent the side edges thereof. A pair of opposed closure panels are provided each including a base triangle and two side triangles. Each side triangle further includes a central fold line defining a pair of minor triangular portions. The carton has a generally inverted truncated pyramidal configuration to permit stacked nesting of the plurality of cartons. In the closed condition of the carton, the top edges of the top panels are in abutting relationship to define the gabled top configuration. Each side triangle of the closure panels is folded about its central fold line to define a double ply closure tab which is rotatable into coplanar relationship with the top panel. A portion of each closure tab is interengaged with a tab receiving aperture in a top panel to secure the carton in the closed position. The cooperation between the closure tabs and the tab receiving apertures in the top panel functions to provide increased stability for the carton and inhibits the relative shifting between the top panels thereof.

摘要： An easily opened, non-adhesively closed envelope includes a closure flap extending from the top front edge thereof with a tuck flap extending from the outer edge of such closure flap. A locking flap is disposed in a downfolded, overlying manner from the top back edge of the envelope and, being adhesively attached to only one side edge of the envelope, provides an open-ended pocket into which the tuck flap is inserted. The tuck flap is held between the back of the envelope and the inner side of the locking flap in sandwich fashion so as to maintain the envelope in a closed disposition. The tuck flap is offset from the centerline of the envelope towards the side edge thereof adjacent to which the locking flap provides the open pocket for receiving the tuck flap. Increased facility of engaging and disengaging the tuck flap from the open pocket defined by the locking flap is thereby provided.
