    Abstract: An adjustable door lock may include a catch plate adapted to be secured adjacent to the door. A plurality of catch brackets may be connected to the catch plate. A catch may be adjustably connected to the catch plate and interfitted through the catch brackets. Such a catch preferably has a linear channel formed therein. A door plate may be disposed adjacent to the catch plate and adapted to be secured to the door. A locking bolt may further be housed within the door plate and may be linearly reciprocated along a first linear path passing through the door plate and the linear channel. In this way, the catch may be automatically adjusted along a second linear path orthogonally registered relative to the first linear path such that the linear channel automatically becomes axially aligned with the locking bolt as the locking bolt ingresses and egresses the catch.

    Abstract: A lock system for a door comprises one or more elongated members adapted to translate axially in a door to be moved in and out of engagement into a lock catch of a door frame. A lock mechanism is received in a mortise of the door and having a handle actuatable to displace at least one driver in translation. A depth adjustment adaptor comprises a interface connected to the elongated member, with or without a joint with at least one degree of freedom connecting the interface to the driver to adjust a depth of the interface relative to the driver and to a lateral surface of the door to actuate the axial translation of the elongated member by movement of the driver.

    Abstract: A heavy vehicle door or ramp is opened and closed using an intuitive control system. The door includes a latch assembly, a lock assembly, and a power unit to assist in opening and closing the door. The door includes an interior joy stick handle and an exterior lever handle. From outside the vehicle, the door is opened and closed by pivoting the lever handle downwardly and upwardly, respectively. From the interior of the vehicle, the joy stick handle is pulled inwardly to close the door and pushed outwardly to open the door. Pivoting the joystick handle forwardly engages the blast locks, while pivoting the joystick handle rearwardly unlatches the latch assembly and disengages the blast locks. The power assist unit is actuated by pivotal movement of the outside door handle and lateral pivotal movement of the interior joystick handle.

    Abstract: A magnetic gate latch comprises magnetic materials and a latching mechanism attracted into a keeper when the gate latch is closed by a first magnetic force and retained in a unlatched position by a second magnetic force. For example, the latching mechanism comprises a pin without a spring or other biasing mechanism biasing the spring in a direction opposite of a magnet in the keeper assembly. In one example, the pin comprises a magnet on an end of the pin opposite from the keeper assembly, which is attracted toward a ferromagnetic material when the pin is retracted into the housing.
