摘要: A swimming pool alarm system for activating an alarm indicator responsive to the presence of a person in a pool being monitored. The system includes a frequency selective detector responsive to water disturbance created by a person in a swimming pool. The detector enables a transmitter at poolside. A receiver remotely mounted with respect to the poolside transmitter responds to the transmissions therefrom activating the alarm indicator.

摘要: An alarm apparatus which is activated upon immersion. The apparatus is adapted to be worn whenever the wearer is expected to be in the proximity of a body of open water and will sound an alarm should that wearer fall into the water. The apparatus is portable, self-contained and has a water activated release to automatically release the apparatus from the wearer upon immersion of the device. The alarm is mounted in a buoyant housing so that housing is self-righting to float to the surface of the water in an upright orientation so the alarm signal is emitted outwardly of the water when the housing reaches the surface. Various embodiments and actuating and release circuits are also disclosed.

摘要: A transducer device of a wearable object or as a wearable object as such, includes means for generating a first action in a first operating mode related to a specific function of the wearable object under the control of a processor or microcontroller processing unit of an electronic circuit being powered by a DC voltage source. The means for generating is configured to generate a second communication action in a second operating mode different from the first operating mode so as to obtain a dual-mode transducer device. The second operating mode allows information or data communication signals to be communicated mainly to the outside of the transducer device so that it can be detected by a monitoring unit of a monitoring system, is able to establish communication, and can receive data or parameter signals from another transducer device. The communication signals are ultrasonic signals transmitted into a water body.

摘要: Systems and methods for improving water safety are provided. The methods include various features based on monitoring the area around a pool. Benefits are gained by applying artificial intelligence algorithms, as well as various techniques for improving processing speed and eliminating false alarms. A method for promoting water safety includes the steps of: video monitoring an area including around a body of water, and above or at a top surface of the water; detecting a presence of a human suspect in the monitored area through processing images of the video with computer implemented artificial intelligence; storing an image upon detection of the human suspect in the monitored area; processing the stored image to determine if the detection was a false alarm; and if the human suspect is determined to be a human in the monitored area, then transmitting an alert, either to a device in the area being monitored, to a mobile device, or both.
