摘要: A monitoring system and method for any type of fluid system. Exemplary fluid systems include: sanitary and/or storm sewer systems; hydrological power generation, heating and cooling systems; energy exploration, excavation and transmission, specifically hydraulic fracturing known as “fracking”. The system and method utilize chemical sensors and other detection devices, a power source and circuitry to communicate with hand-held devices and/or other local or remote data terminals. Since sewers and other water infrastructure are often used to dispose, transport, store and transform liquids or other materials in addition to human waste and/or waste fluids from other human activity, monitoring effluent and chemical composition of liquids can provide data useful for a wide range of purposes.

摘要: A vessel includes a body that floats in water. One or more thrusters and sensors are provided on the body. A controller is configured to selectively activate the thrusters to cause the vessel to move along a path through the water, receive sensor data from the one or more sensors while the vessel is moving along the path, determine, based on the sensor data, whether an obstacle or a dangerous condition is present in the water; control the thrusters to avoid the obstacle, and output a warning when the dangerous condition is present in the water. The collected sensor data may relate to locations and directions of currents in the water, the dangerous condition may relate to a rip current, and the warning may identify at least one attribute of the rip current. A map identifying a location of the dangerous condition may be generated and forwarded to other devices.

摘要: A boat, boat systems, and methods to determine when a water-sports participant has fallen. The boat may include an image sensor and an image processor communicatively coupled to the image sensor. The image sensor is configured to capture at least one image of the environment aft of the stern of the boat. The image processor is configured to execute a rider-down analysis that includes analyzing, using an object recognition process executed by the image processor, an image to be analyzed to determine if a water-sports participant has fallen. The boat may include a controller configured to execute a rider-down action when the water-sports participant has fallen. The controller may execute the rider-down action when the image processor determines that the water-sports participant has fallen based upon the rider-down analysis.

摘要: There is provided a system for detecting a drowning person within a water body, the system comprising (i) sonar sensors for forming a three dimensional grid of sonar waves within the water body, the grid having three dimensional grid cells; (ii) a movement path tracing unit adapted to be connected to the sonar sensors for tracing a movement path of a person within the water body by determining a sequence of successive grid cells crossed by the person within the grid in the course of said movement path, the determination of the successive grid cells being made based on detected propagation delays of the sonar waves forming the grid; and (iii) a drowning detection unit adapted to be connected to the movement path tracing unit for analyzing the movement path of the person and issuing an alarm when the movement path of the person is indicative of a drowning person movement path. There is also provided a kit and method for detecting a drowning person within a water body.

摘要: A network of multitier user's devices (mobile units) that performs household chores and functions as a mobile general purpose autonomous intelligent machines, having some primary functions and a plurality of additional secondary functions. The primary functions include one or more of vacuum cleaning, lawn mowing, typical drone functionalities, the additional autonomous functions include wardrobe management, premises safety, sentry job, rendering personalized music, self-recharging from typical electric outlet, self-learning to predict the users' behaviors and planning and scheduling the functionalities (decision making) accordingly, providing AI (Artificial Intelligence) assistance and support, Day-In-Life recording and support and so forth. The Day-In-Life recording functionalities involve predicting users' behaviors, identifying routine, salient features and important events ahead of time, and electronically recording and storing the routine events, salient features and important events, with the support of a cloud based central support and services server system.

摘要: A warning system is provided, which is particularly useful as a person overboard warning system. The system comprises a trigger part, worn by a crew member, which emits a signal on immersion in water. This is received by a receiver part on the vessel and automatically causes a transmitter part, also on the vessel, to send a further warning signal to one or more other locations remote from the vessel. These remote locations may be other vessels or land based sites, for instance operated by the coastguard or other rescue agencies. The automatic nature of the onward transmission of the signal received by the vessel makes the system particularly suited to single handed sailors.

摘要: Disclosed is a boat alarm system including a sensor that provides a sensor output in response to a predetermined change in its orientation, a timer for providing an alarm signal in response to a one-quarter to one second period of uninterrupted sensor output and a means for generating an alarm in response to the alarm signal. The detected change in orientation is produced by an uninterrupted list of the boat in any direction for the required one-quarter to one second period. Also provided is an auxiliary timer that prevents the generation of the alarm in response to changes in the sensor's orientation that occur at less than a predetermined rate. Finally, a limit mechanism insures the generation of an alarm when such a condition reaches an extent that threatens swamping of the boat.

摘要: An electronic directional indicator includes a microcontroller in electronic communication with an electronic compass, an electronic motion-detecting module and at least one light source that is controllably illuminable. A battery life of the electronic directional indicator is managed by monitoring the electronic motion-detecting module for motion within pre-defined time periods and reducing power to electronic components accordingly. The electronic directional indicator can be placed on the face shield portion of a self-contained breathing apparatus face mask to provide a constant source of orientation for fire-fighters in reduced- or zero-visibility environments.
