    摘要: A distress device of lifejacket includes: a lifejacket main body; a wireless emitter, disposed inside the lifejacket main body and including a circuit board and an antenna, wherein the antenna is electrically connected to the circuit board; and a lithium polymer battery, electrically connected to the circuit board and disposed inside the lifejacket main body. Accordingly, the lithium polymer battery can be adopted to replace a convention lithium battery, so that the distress device of lifejacket can be safety disposed in an aircraft for providing sufficient amount of electricity required by the wireless emitter, thereby allowing the distress device of lifejacket to have an additional function of emitting signals, and the research and rescue team is able to rapidly locate the sufferer, so that the distress device of lifejacket is provided with advantages of increasing operation safety and facilitating the locating procedure for search and rescue.

    摘要: A system and method are used for dispatching a rescue flotation device to an individual who has fallen overboard from a ship. A water-activated transmitter is carried or worn by each and every passenger on a given ship. Upon detecting moisture, the transmitter is activated to send a data signal to a radio signal receiver on the ship. The contents of the data signal may be the location and/or coordinates of the victim, as determined by triangulation of the signal, a GPS receiver and/or radar. Upon transmission of the data, a rescue flotation device or vessel is automatically deployed from a portion of the vessel into the water. The rescue device may be dispatched from a portion of the ship nearest to the determined location of the victim, and/or the rescue device may be self-propelled such that it navigates to the approximate location of victim.

    摘要: There is elucidated a safety system for a marine vessel. The vessel includes two engines coupled to propellers for propelling the vessel through water. The vessel is provided with a digital anchor in communication with the two engines for maintaining the vessel substantially at a defined location when the anchor is activated. The safety system includes a sensor assembly coupled to a data processing assembly for sensing a region of said water at least partially surrounding the vessel for detecting one or more persons present in the region and for modifying operation of the digital anchor is response to the one or more persons being detected. The invention is of advantage in that the digital anchor is capable of responding to the one or more persons being present in the water and thereby reducing a risk of injury or loss of life when the digital anchor is employed.
