摘要： A linear induction motor utilizes a double-sided primary and a dual secondary to directly drive an elevator car door open and closed. The invention has the advantage of being compact: all magnetic-attractive loads are confined to a primary mount bracket, and all thrust loads are carried directly by the car header, not transferred to the cab. Also, high thrusts can be developed from a small space, i.e., short net working coil area, due to the double-sided primary winding and dual secondary arrangement. The configuration is basically simple, with a low moving mass and easy-to-fabricate parts, the primary core being particularly easily wound.

摘要： The door or doors of an elevator are driven through their opening and closing cycles by one or more linear induction motor (LIM) assemblies in which the primary winding component of the LIM assembly is secured to the elevator cab structure and the LIM secondary component is secured to the cab door. If the cab has two oppositely moving doors, there will preferably be two separate motor drives, one for each door. In one embodiment, the motor components are arranged so as to create a normal force which is horizontal; and in another embodiment, the normal force created is vertical. A primary motor mount bracket is used which secures the primary winding component to the overhead component of the cab structure.

摘要： A cable drive for elevator doors has first and second drive pulleys eccentrically mounted 180.degree. out-of-phase on the same drive motor shaft so that the cable feed rate is greater at the middle, than at the start and end of each drive cycle. Feeder pulleys arranged below the drive pulleys ensure that cable angle of feed to tension pulleys positioned at opposite ends of the door travel remains constant, regardless of rotational position of the drive pulleys. The doors travel along guide tracks provided with downwardly directed flanges, behind which upwardly directed flanges of door sheave assemblies are captured. The sheave assemblies also include downwardly directed flanges that are captured behind upwardly directed rails of the tracks. In a single-slide door or center-opening two door arrangement, each door panel has two sheave assemblies and two facing tracks are provided, the sheave of each assembly riding on a different track. This enables the tracks to be staggered to accommodate non-standard size openings.

摘要： An elevator car has a drive mechanism mounted in a compact housing on the upper surface of the car. The drive mechanism includes a rotatable drive shaft, around which is mounted a linear actuator block having a plurality of ball bearings, obliquely arranged relative to the shaft, and firmly touching the shaft. Rotation of the shaft by a motor makes the block move linearly along the shaft. A bracket attached to the block carries an elevator door. Rotation of the shaft therefore opens and closes the door. The direction of movement of the block, and hence the door, depends on the direction of rotation of the shaft. The drive mechanism is compact and simple, and can be applied to new elevators or can be used to retrofit existing elevator cars.

A post seal utilizes an elastic strip seal to close the post air gap. An abutment seal utilizes a sliding brush seal to close the abutment air gap. A door sill seal utilizes a labyrinth seal to close the sill air gap. A door edge seal utilizes a brush seal to close the front edge air gap. These seals close all the air gaps around the door leaves when the door is closed to prevent the ingress of sound of the noises produced mechanically outside the car.

The improvements are centered on the use of a single track for both leaves or door panels, a track which may have a rectangular or circular section, located in a box with rolling or movement components which are fastened to the corresponding hanger support of the panel or door. Another improvement consists of the two panels of the door being exactly the same, each one of them including a sound absorbing element. The door frame unit is removable with preassembled active elements so that the same may be transported in a compact, easy manner from the factory to the place of use.
