摘要: The invention relates to a method for measuring the wall thickness of hollow glass articles (2) in a hollow glass production system, wherein the IR radiation emitted by each hollow glass article (2) exiting the hot end of a glass forming machine is detected at least in areas mapped by a function (10), the same hollow glass article (2), after having passed through an annealing lehr, being measured in the circumferential direction with respect to a wall thickness distribution, and the detected wall thickness distribution being mapped by a function (18). Using correlation methods, it is checked whether the progression of the function (10) is contained in the function (18), wherein if so, measured values of the wall thickness can be associated with the measured values of the IR radiation at the hot end, so that the wall thickness distribution of the hollow glass article is already known at the hot end and implementable for monitoring purposes.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for detecting defects in the walls of hollow glass items that rotate about their longitudinal axis during inspection, which method, in one form, is characterized by the production of an image series (4) that is binarised using a grey-scale value threshold image (5), wherein the threshold values of the threshold image (5) are measured differently according to the fixed positions of radiation-receiving elements used to display images. The images of the image series (10) formed by binarising the original image series (4) are combined in a histogram (6) that locally adds up the frequency of an occurrence of, inter alia, defect pixels representing static reflections within the sensor regions of the image series (10). Based on this histogram (6), a two-dimensional fade-out mask (12) is formed on which the regions of static reflections are combined, and by means of which the sensor regions (18) of the original image series (4) are masked, such that a masked image series (16) is produced, said series having images, in particular sensor regions characterized in that static reflections are faded out on same, whereby a subsequent flaw-detecting evaluation (17) of the images can be carried out, independent of their sequence.

摘要: The invention concerns a process or respectively a device for the production of various masses of glass gobs during the manufacture of glass objects, using a glass forming machine (55), where molten liquid glass is flowing out of at least one gob outlet (5″) of a feeder head (3′) of a feeder (4′), and a cyclically operated pair of shears (46) separates the gobs (57). The mass of successive gobs (57) is modified by varying the time interval from shear cut to shear cut. In order to produce a product range of a number of glass objects of different weights, a predetermined time section of the feeder head operation, within which the relevant number of gobs (57) are to be produced, is divided into various time intervals from shear cut to shear cut, depending on the ratio of the desired gob masses. In accordance with the invention, a production of the product range can be achieved in a relatively simple way.

摘要: Device for checking the neck of a container for the presence of an incline. A device for checking a container neck (1), in particular the neck of a hollow glass object, for the presence of an incline comprises a pressure-contact head, which can be lowered on to the container, having means for holding and centering the container with respect to the pressure-contact head, and a checking part (7) which can be moved in relation to the angular position relative to the horizontal plane and, when the holding and centering means engage with the container, the said checking part is urged on to the neck (1) and correlates in its angular position relative to the horizontal plane with the incline of the neck. Furthermore, the device comprises means (10, 12) for scanning the angular position of the checking part (7) relative to the horizontal plane, an evaluating unit (14) which uses measurement values of the scanning means to generate an information signal relating to the incline of the neck, and an actuator (52) which screens the container and which can be controlled by the evaluating unit (14), if the information signal is beyond a permissible threshold value.

摘要: A mold and neck ring cooling system for a glass molding machine is characterized by a cooling air guide, in which separate and in particular independently switchable air guides for a neck ring cooling section- and a mold cooling section are provided. Here, a cooling piece serving the cooling air feed in the mold is connected to a station box via a cooling channel which is articulated on both sides and slidably connected on one side for length compensation, wherein the height position of the cooling piece is constant relative to the station box. A cooling structure intended for the neck ring cooling section is adjustable in its height in relation to the station box by means of a drive. All valves and bearing points are arranged protected against an environmental influence of a glassworks containing abrasive substances.

摘要: A device for pushing glass objects onto a conveyor belt consists of a pusher (5), which is supported on a crank arm (6) in such a way that it can be swiveled about an axis (7), which crank arm is in driving engagement with a first electric motor (1) by means of a shaft (12) and a spur-gear transmission. A second electric motor (2) is in driving engagement with a sleeve (20) by means of a cantilever (18), in which sleeve the shaft (12) is mounted, wherein the shaft (12) can be swiveled about a central stationary axis (19). A third electric motor (3) is in driving engagement by means of a further spur-gear transmission by means of a hollow shaft (8), which within the sleeve (20), supporting the shaft (12) [sic], with an annular element (28) on which one end of a push rod is supported in such a way that it can be swiveled about an axis, the other end of the push rod is supported on the pusher (5) in such a way that it can be swiveled about an axis, so that a rotational motion of the said third electric motor (3) can be converted into a swivel motion of the pusher (5) about the axis (7). All transmission components are in the pot-like upper part (33) of a housing (4), and specifically below the plane of a dead plate. The low number of transmission stages results in a design that is very simple, compact and protected against environmental influences and thus results in particular suitability for use under the operating conditions of a glassworks.

摘要: The invention concerns a method and a device for examining a container mouth for defects in a mouth sealing surface. A light source emits light beams having a direction component impinging tangentially upon the sealing surface. The tangential light beams are scattered as they impinge upon a defect in the sealing surface. At least some of these scattered light beams are detected by a sensor. The tangential direction component is produced by an optical deflecting element disposed between the light source and the mouth. The optical deflecting element is transparent at least to light of certain wavelengths and deflects impinging light beams accordingly. The invention renders it possible to amplify contrasts between defects and other reflections from the sealing surface during the detection of defects in the sealing surface.

摘要: The invention relates to a method and a device (65) for examining a container mouth (4) for defects in a mouth sealing surface (3), wherein a light source (5) serves to emit light beams (22′a,22′b) on to the mouth (4) such that they comprise a direction component impinging tangentially upon the sealing surface (3) and are scattered as they impinge upon a defect in the sealing surface (3), wherein at least some of these scattered light beams (26) are detected by means of a sensor (18′). The tangential direction component is produced by virtue of the fact that in the beam path between the light source (5) and the mouth (4) there is disposed an optical deflecting element (39′) which is transparent at least to light of a certain wavelength and deflects such impinging light beams (22) accordingly. The invention renders it possible to utilize simple means to amplify contrast during the detection of defects in the sealing surface (3).

摘要: A method for operating an IS machine for producing glass containers includes: introducing a glass gob into a blank mold, producing a parison from the glass gob in the blank mold, transferring the parison into a finishing mold, actuating a vacuum valve for producing a vacuum in the finishing mold from a first actuating point in time and simultaneously measuring the evolution of the vacuum pressure, actuating a finish-blowing valve for generating a finish-blowing pressure from a second actuating point in time that is later than the first actuating point in time by a predetermined duration, such that compressed air is blown into the finishing mold from the top, and simultaneously measuring the evolution of the finish-blowing pressure and checking whether the evolution of the measured vacuum pressure and/or the evolution of the measured finish-blowing pressure has fulfilled a predetermined condition.
