摘要: A method for operating an IS machine for producing glass containers includes: introducing a glass gob into a blank mold, producing a parison from the glass gob in the blank mold, transferring the parison into a finishing mold, actuating a vacuum valve for producing a vacuum in the finishing mold from a first actuating point in time and simultaneously measuring the evolution of the vacuum pressure, actuating a finish-blowing valve for generating a finish-blowing pressure from a second actuating point in time that is later than the first actuating point in time by a predetermined duration, such that compressed air is blown into the finishing mold from the top, and simultaneously measuring the evolution of the finish-blowing pressure and checking whether the evolution of the measured vacuum pressure and/or the evolution of the measured finish-blowing pressure has fulfilled a predetermined condition.

摘要: A closing mechanism for the mold halves of an I.S. machine, including two yoke-like mold holders mounted on parallel guides and movable between a closed position and an open position by means of a drive. A spindle transmission is provided laterally to at least one guide, the spindle transmission including a threaded spindle that is connected to the drive via a transmission and is in engagement with two threaded sleeves, each of which is connected to one of the two mold holders via two threaded sections running in opposite directions. By means of the drive, a servomotor, the opening and closing movement of the mold holders is carried out. Two pneumatically actuated piston-cylinder units are provided in order to apply the clamping force required between the mold holders or the mold halves in the closed position.

摘要: A valve assembly (1) which is intended for differentiated individual control of the movement mechanisms of an IS machine and can therefore be used in a modular manner consists of a valve support (2′) and a head part (22) which supports two pilot control valves (3, 5), two safety valves (4, 6) and two switching valves as one assembly. By way of actuation of the safety valves (4, 6), the feed of control air to the switching valves can be interrupted, which switching valves are assigned, for example, to the opening movement and the closing movement, respectively, of a closing cylinder which is assigned to a preform. The valve assembly has interfaces for connection of control and operating air and for electric connection to a machine controller. If required, the assembly which is designed in this way makes it possible to interrupt the control air in a differentiated way which is related to an individual track, in addition to simple assembly and dismantling.

摘要: For the monitoring of the application of a vacuum to the finished moulds (1, 2) of a glass moulding machine, in particular of an I.S. machine, an arrangement is proposed which is composed of a vacuum sensor (13, 14), which vacuum sensor is arranged in a vacuum line (5, 6) which charges the finished mould (1, 2) and which vacuum sensor is designed for pressure measurement and detects a pressure value, which pressure value is transmitted by way of a microcontroller (15, 16) of an I.S. machine controller (22) by way of which, in a manner dependent on the measured value, a hollow glass article can be identified as being defective and rejected. The arrangement permits automated monitoring of the vacuum operation and a lessening of the burden on operating personnel, and serves for the automated assurance of product quality.
