    摘要: The present invention relates to a method for returning empties, in particular bottles and cans, having a bulk input, in which the empties (10) are moved from an input space (8) past a detection unit (14) by a conveyor device (1) rotating about the longitudinal axis thereof, and further having a conveyor device for implementing said method, comprising a plurality followers mounted transversely to the direction of conveyance and spaced a distance apart. An increased throughput is to be achieved with such a method and such a conveyor device. This is achieved in that the empties (10) are parallelized out of the input space (8) by the conveyor device (1) and fed to the detection unit (14) in a field array, or in that each follower (4) is designed to be wide enough to hold at least two empties (10) side by side, and that an angular momentum is applied to the empties (10) at least in the detection field (15) of the detection unit (14).

    摘要: The present invention relates to a method for returning empty packaging, particularly bottles and cans, having a bulk import, in which the empty packaging is routed out of an input chamber through a transport device, rotating the empty packaging along its longitudinal axis past a recognition unit. The transport device for carrying out the method has a plurality of rollers which are arranged transversely with respect to the direction of transport and act as carriers for the empty packaging. The empty packaging is supplied to the detection array of the recognition unit in a field array. To avoid empty packaging being conveyed on top of other empty packaging, thereby blocking the detection of the bottom empty packaging by the recognition unit, the empty packaging undergoes a brief reversal of direction of rotation before its presentation to the detection array.

    摘要: The invention relates to a method and a device for the quality control of a rotationally symmetrical body (2, 2, 2″) and a grip (4) of a handling system (5) for gripping a rotationally symmetrical body (2, 2, 2″). The aim of the invention is to improve the quality control of rotationally symmetrical bodies (2, 2, 2″) in such a way that it is faster, reliable and more economical. To this end, the grip (4) comprises grip fingers (26) having rotationally symmetrically holding elements (29, 31) for holding the body (2, 2, 2″), the holding elements (31) being mounted in the grip fingers (26) in such a way that they can be rotated about the rotational axes (29) thereof. In order to grip the body (2, 2, 2″), the grip fingers (26) are displaced on a circular path. A central drive mechanism (22; 35) is respectively provided for the rotational movement of the holding elements (29, 31) of all of the grip fingers and for the rotational movement of all of the grip fingers (26).

    摘要: An improved apparatus for firmly holding a plurality of articles in the form of a bottle or the like on a rotary table has a plurality of supporting mechanisms for supporting the articles with the aid of attractive force generated under reduced pressure. The supporting mechanisms are adapted to rotate about the axis thereof while they revolve round the axis of the apparatus. The respective supporting mechanisms are located at an equal distance along the periphery of a circle on the table. The supporting mechanism comprises a cylindrical support having a flared head and a suction cup fitted in a central cavity of the flared head, the suction cup being in communication with a vacuum source by way of an axially extending through hole in the support. The flared head of the support preferably has a frictional disc fixedly secured to its upper surface and is located flush with the cupping surface of the suction cup. The supporting mechanisms are rotated with the aid of a belt driving system which is arranged outside of the circle along which they are rotatably held. The belt driving system includes two pulleys, an endless belt extended around the pulleys and a tension control pulley, the endless belt being adapted to come in engagement with pulleys fixedly secured to the lower part of the cylindrical supports.

    摘要: An optical system for automatic sorting and inspection machines for providing an improved two dimensional image of a three dimensional object to a camera or a camera-like device is disclosed. The optical system utilizes two spaced apart mirrors for receiving light primarily from different areas of the object to be viewed. Each mirror is positioned to reflect that light toward an optical axis. Positioned between the first and second mirrors are third and fourth mirrors positioned to reflect the light received thereby along the optical axis of the camera system. In this manner the image viewed by the camera will represent two separate views or image portions of the object being viewed, which image portions may or may not overlap as desired. By proper positioning of the mirrors, one can obtain an image of a three dimensional object which includes image portions of minimum distortion which effectively start to reach around the object and therefore not otherwise viewable from the camera position.

The apparatus comprises a feeding track for unsorted bottles and a number of discharge tracks for the different bottle types and a transporting mechanism in the form of a star wheel. The star wheel is provided with successive bottle pockets each arranged to receive a bottle from the feeding track. Each pocket is provided with a suction cup connected to a vacuum system and corresponding to the contour of one type of bottle for holding such bottle for detachment at a desired later discharge track but leaving the other type of bottle free to travel to a first discharge track.
