    摘要: The present invention mainly relates to a current limiting circuit, also known as over-current protection circuit, and a power regulator using the same. The purpose for the circuit is to protect the power device and the loading circuit for the power regulator. The conventional current limiting circuit takes advantage of a resistor and a MOS to convert the detected over current into a voltage and then turn on a P-typed MOS to clamp the gate voltage of a power transistor so as to achieve the goal of current limiting. However, the process variation for the resistor and said MOS and their temperature variation lead to a significant error to the limiting current. The present invention, therefore, takes advantage of the current comparison to enhance the accuracy for the current limiting circuit.

    摘要: Disclosed is a Power Factor Correction Controller, which comprises a boost converter, a current sensing unit, an arithmetic unit, and a switch driving unit. The current sensing unit can sense or derive the current that pass through the energy delivery device, which is normally implemented by a diode or a switch. The current sensing unit can also sense the inductor current, or the switch current. With the current sensing unit, the arithmetic unit can calculate the optimum switch on-time or when to turn off the switch, without direct-sensing of the load. The disclosed method reduces the system cost by removing the needs to sense the load condition as in the prior arts. The disclosed method also improves the system response by sensing the delivered current at energy delivery side, rather than the receiver side as in the prior arts.

In the AC power feedback control device, the Class-D drivers are driven by the PWM controller so as to generate a sine wave voltage. After being filtered by the LPFs, the sine wave voltage is ready for filaments. The output voltage outputted by the filaments is detected by simple feedback elements so as to control and modulate the duty cycle of the PWM controller.

    摘要: A fuse option circuit including a fuse, a control switch, a latch, and a logical operational controller is provided. The latch stores a selected level. The logical operational controller outputs a selected result signal and feedbacks a control signal to the control switch. The level of the control signal determines whether the control switch is on or off. Therefore, the required level is input to the latch and the working mode having an ultra low current is selected. Furthermore, when the fuse is in an untrimmed state, the level of the selected result signal could be selected by a reset pulse signal of the latch in order to test a product. Afterward, it is determined whether the fuse is trimmed or not. When the fuse is in a trimmed state, the level of the selected result signal is established by a rising edge of the reset pulse signal.

    摘要: A method for calibrating a parameter of an IC, using an external device so as to calibrate an analog control parameter of an internal analog circuit in the IC. The external device is used in a detecting mode so as to detect whether the analog control parameter is beyond a pre-determined range. If the analog control parameter is beyond the pre-determined range, the external device is used in a calibrating mode so as to obtain a calibrated value and the calibrated value is then written into the internal analog circuit in the IC. The external device is used for detection and calibration repeatedly until the analog control parameter is within the pre-determined range. When the analog control parameter is within the pre-determined range, the calibrated value is written into a non-volatile memory in the IC.
