摘要: A punch set for use with a punch tool to punch material from a wall of an electrical box. The punch set has a punch with a cutting section, and a die defining a cavity that is configured to receive the cutting section. The cutting section may have an annular or circular portion and a plurality of keyway forming portions each extending radially from the annular or circular portion. The cutting section of the punch may be insertable into the cavity of the die in a single orientation. The die may have a protrusion receivable within a recess of the punch when the cutting section is received in the cavity. One of the die or punch may have an extension that is receivable in a single orientation within an opening in the other of the die or punch.

The end wall has an inner surface configured to engage the head of the fastener. The end wall defines a second opening that extends through the end wall, and the second opening is configured to receive a shank of the fastener.

摘要: A one-piece power meter socket to circuit breaker connection structure includes an elongated trunk section connecting a lower spade section with a forwardly offset connection plate at an upper end. The connection plate is joined to the trunk section by an angled extension section. The connection plate has an aperture to receive a fastener to connect it and a meter jaw to a meter jaw base. The spade section includes a pair of laterally spaced, forwardly projection breaker receiving spades for reception in a receptacle of a circuit beaker. The connection structures are used in pairs with an insulating circuit breaker base to connect load-side meter jaws of a power meter socket to spade receptacles of a plug-in type of circuit breaker. The one-piece connection structure is formed of a sheet of metal having a thickness equal to the thickness specified for the spades engaged by the circuit breaker.

摘要: A meter box with insulation-piercing wire termination connectors is disclosed. Each connector includes a conductor receiver having an inner surface that defines a channel sized to receive an electrical power conductor comprised of a conductive wire encased within insulation. At least one protrusion projects from the inner surface of the conductor receiver into the channel and has a continuous edge spaced apart from the inner surface that is positioned to pierce the insulation and electrically contact the conductive wire when the electrical power conductor is clamped within the conductor receiver. Each connector may also include a meter jaw configured to receive a connector blade of an electric meter, wherein the meter jaw is mechanically and electrically connected to the conductor receiver.

摘要: Aspects of the present disclosure involve systems, methods, and the like, for an energy interface system for interfacing alternative energy sources with a utility power source on a premises. The energy interface system provides flexibility in the use and distribution of utility energy sources and alternative energy sources based on several measurements and criteria of the interface system. For example, the energy interface system may allow for the energy consumption to adapt to changing parameters, such as utility rate schedules, cost of alternative fuels and utility premiums for consumption or generation of energy at particular times. The energy interface system also allows for deferment of charging or other high-energy loads to be recognized by the system at otherwise low-energy times. In addition, the energy interface system allows for monitoring and communication with the system for ease of configuring the system based on one or more criteria or measurements.

摘要: Aspects of the present disclosure involve systems, methods, and the like, for an automatic transfer switch (ATS) of a power system. The ATS allows for switching between two or more power systems while preventing back-feeding of the power systems. To provide the safety features of the ATS, a safety circuit and control board may be implemented with the magnetic latching relays to control the actions of the latching relays and provide the switching function of the ATS. In one particular embodiment, the safety board comprises one or more electromechanical relays positioned between the controlling electronics of the control board and the magnetic latching relays. The safety board design contains measures to ensure it still functions if one of the disconnect switches is not connected, if one of the connections to a first load phase, a second load phase or neutral is lost and if the main control board is not connected.

摘要: Aspects of the present disclosure involve systems, devices, methods, and the like, for a transfer switch of a power system incorporating a self-powered electronic meter that provides a learn function to determine the maximum amount of power an attached generator can provide, and adjust a power meter display associated with the switch accordingly so that the indicator of the display may be used for any size generator and display the full range of the generator. The learning function is activated and a user turn on devices and loads in the load center until the generator stalls. A microcontroller records the max generator power that was measured before the generator stalled and save it to non-volatile memory as the new 100% setting for that particular generator connected to the transfer switch.
