摘要: An improved AC power supply is described. The supply identifies the load through monitoring the current and voltage wave forms and phase relations with the AC Mains. The comparison is done in conditions where the power to the load is programmably varied through use of a control switch located in the line and neutral between the AC mains and the load. The program of controlling the switch is varied to optimize the ability to distinguish similar load types. The switch can be further used to control power to the load that varies according to a set of rules based upon the identity of the load. In a preferred embodiment, the design enables high efficiency with minimal components that may be fully integrated onto silicon.

摘要: A system and method for detecting and resolving conflicts in transmissions from DTs located on the edge of an electrical power distribution grid. By examining the frame and time slot of the conflict and inferring a possible DT involved in the transmission conflict and reassigning the DT's transmission to another frame and time slot, the conflict should be resolved and the data being provided by the DT is not necessarily lost nor is its receipt unreasonably delayed.

One example modulates electricity to obtain modulated electricity having at least two different alternating current frequencies including a first alternating current frequency and a second alternating current frequency. The example delivers the modulated electrical power having the at least two different alternating current frequencies to multiple different electrical devices, including a first electrical device configured to utilize the first alternating current frequency and a second electrical device configured to utilize the second alternating current frequency. The modulated electricity can be delivered at least partly over an electrical line shared by the first electrical device and the second electrical device.

摘要: Dispatch engines service endpoints by transmitting dispatch signals to the serviced endpoints that cause the endpoints to adjust their electric power consumption from the electric power grid in accord with a control signal received by the dispatch engine. A market interface dispatch engine receives its control signal from an electric power grid managing entity, and downstream dispatch engines form a hierarchy cascading downstream from the market interface dispatch engine with each downstream dispatch engine being an endpoint serviced by a dispatch engine located upstream in the hierarchy. The control signal received by each downstream dispatch engine comprises dispatch signals transmitted by the upstream dispatch engine. The endpoints further include electric power-consuming loads. A suitable load controller comprises separate power interface and logic elements operatively connected to define the load controller, with the logic element powered by low voltage DC power received from the power interface element.

摘要: An energy storage system includes an energy storage provided in a transportation unit, a connector electrically connectable to an external power transmission management apparatus, a power transmission circuit, and a processor. The processor is configured to control the power transmission circuit in accordance with an output from the external power transmission management apparatus to perform power transmission between the energy storage and an external power system, and control the power transmission circuit in accordance with an output from the external power transmission management apparatus, if a degree of variation in charging states in the energy storage and one or more external energy storages is greater than or equal to a threshold value, to perform power transmission between the energy storage and the one or more external energy storages to reduce the degree of variation before performing the power transmission between the energy storage and the external power system.

摘要: A demand side electric power supply management system is disclosed. The system comprises an islanded power system having a point of coupling to a supply grid. The islanded power system supplies a plurality of electric loads, each of which is associated with a load controller to control the maximum power demanded by that load. A measuring means associated with the point of coupling measures the total power transfer between the grid and the islanded system, and a system controller monitors the measured power transfer relative to a set point and provides a control signal to a plurality of load controllers. Each load controller receives substantially the same control signal and determines the maximum power which the or each load associated with the load controller is allowed to draw from the islanded power system based on information contained in the control signal.

The variable speed genset system may include a plurality of gensets, a switch assembly coupling one or more of the gensets to a common bus, a power electronics circuit selectively coupling the switch assembly to the common bus, and a controller in electrical communication with the gensets, the switch assembly and the power electronics circuit. The controller may be configured to designate any one or more of the gensets to operate as variable speed gensets and one or more of the remaining gensets to operate as constant speed gensets, engage the switch assembly to couple the variable speed genset to the power electronics circuit, and engage the switch assembly to couple the constant speed gensets to the common bus.

摘要: The present invention monitors an electric power system using a time-series measurement value including abnormality. An electric power system monitoring device is provided with: a storage unit that stores facility information indicating a position relationship of a plurality of measurement sites in an electric power system; a reception unit that receives time-series measurement information measured by a measurement device disposed at each of the plurality of measurement sites; and a computation unit that acquires an electrical distance between the plurality of measurement sites on the basis of the facility information, classifies the plurality of measurement sites into at least one measurement site group on the basis of the electrical distance, extracts, with respect to each of the measurement sites in the measurement site group, a frequency component of electric power fluctuation from the measurement information, selects, with respect to a first frequency component which is a frequency component of a first measurement site in the measurement site group, a second frequency component which is a frequency component of a second measurement site in the measurement site group, and calculates a similarity between the first frequency component and the second frequency component.
