    摘要: A system for on-stream sampling of pressurized process gas such as natural gas or the like, said system optimized for use with pressurized process gas having liquid entrained therein, or otherwise referenced as “wet”. In the preferred embodiment, a probe and method of sampling is contemplated to provide linear sample of fluids from a predetermined of said fluid stream. Further taught is the method of preventing compositional disassociation of a gas sample having entrained liquid utilizing a probe having a passage formed to facilitate capillary action in fluid(s) passing therethrough. The present system further contemplates a system for providing power and/or heat to modular conditioning components as well provide sample flow therefrom utilizing a tube bundle via a tube bundle boot mounted on the bracket of a modular sample system. Further provided is a system for providing to a conditioning component an easily reconfigurable pressure reducing module, as well as a system for heating a modular conditioning component utilizing a heat trace.

    摘要: A system for the collection and initial conditioning of sample gas for “on-line” analyzers, or filling of gas sample cylinders. The preferred embodiment of the present invention contemplates a system configured to obtain a representative gas phase sample from a process gas containing entrained liquid, or a process gas which generally is susceptible to partial condensation of some gas phase components. The preferred embodiment of the present invention teaches a sample probe assembly including a heat pipe configured for maintaining sample gas drawn through said sample probe at or near the source gas temperature and pressure. Accuracy of the analysis of source gas stream is enhanced and compositional changes of the gas phase are avoided by preventing the partial condensation of gas components or vaporization of entrained liquid. Alternative embodiments teach the insulation of the sampling conduit to maintain the sample gas at an isothermal condition equivalent to that of the fluid stream from which it is sampled.

In the preferred embodiment, the probe tip is situated laterally from one side of the inner pipe wall to the other so as to span the entire inner diameter (ID) of the pipe, the probe tip having formed along its outer surface sample collection slot along the length of said outer surface, providing a “linear sample” of the fluid flow of the entire breadth of the flow, providing an accurate sample of even disassociated flow with entrained liquid particles and flow. Embodiments for continuous sampling, batch mode, spot sampling are provided, as well as an anti-vibration feature.
