Abstract: Properly parking personal mobility vehicles (PMVs) is an important for safety and public satisfaction. The large number of daily rides of ride-share PMVs makes it impossible to verify manually that each PMV is properly parked. Aspects of this disclosure include systems and methods for verifying that PMVs are properly parked. These systems and methods can include training a machine learning model on a server. The system can request that users submit images to the server, such that the server can verify that the user properly parked the PMV. The server can transmit a finished indication when it determines that the user properly parked the vehicle. The server can transmit instructions to the user to take various actions when it determines that the user improperly parked the vehicle or when the image is insufficient to determine whether the user properly parked the vehicle.

Abstract: As personal mobility vehicles (PMVs) are used over longer distances, integrating storage into the PMV and improving ergonomics of the PMV are desirable to improve user comfort and provide access to safety equipment when necessary. Such integration can be achieved via systems and methods that include an integrated scooter system including a main body including, a deck, and a seat assembly that includes a support member, a seat frame portion, and a seat cushion portion. The system further includes a storage component that is configured to be attached to the seat frame portion. The storage component is positioned below the seat cushion portion and adjacent to the support member.

Abstract: Presented here is a system and method for creating easy-to-understand notifications of the vehicle state. The notification can be visual or can be auditory and can indicate to the user the vehicle state even when the user's attention is directed elsewhere. The indication can serve to attract the user's attention before more involved information is presented to the user, such as text, or the indication can serve to communicate to the user the vehicle state in an easy-to-understand way such as using color-coded displays or audio indications. The intensity of the indication can be adjusted based on the likelihood that indication will be perceived by the user by, for example, measuring ambient light and/or ambient noise. Reducing the intensity of the indication conserves energy of an energy source associated with the vehicle.

Abstract: The present application describes systems and methods for authenticating rechargeable batteries in a rechargeable battery cabinet. The rechargeable battery cabinet may be a part of a large, scalable, distributed network of rechargeable battery cabinets, in which rechargeable battery cabinets may be removed or added based on consumer demand for fresh batteries. The system and methods may track the rechargeable batteries and where they are located in the rechargeable battery cabinets by first assigning a dynamic identification number, such that a rechargeable battery compartment does not need a static identifier. The system and method may allow for real-time reading of the status of rechargeable battery cabinets and rechargeable batteries in the system. Each rechargeable battery may have a static identifier to uniquely identify the rechargeable battery. This system and method allows for efficient scaling and identification of rechargeable battery within the system.

Abstract: The present application describes power tier management for a battery of a light electric vehicle. In examples, a power tier of a battery may have an associated threshold power and time to exert a battery energy over the time of the power tier. Power tiers may be adjusted to lengthen or shorten an overall battery life and remaining battery life of the battery of the light electric vehicle. In an aspect, a processor may control or limit power to specific components and/or functions of the light electric vehicle to stay within or enter a determined power tier. Information may be received and processed by the processor to determine and apply one or more power tiers.

Abstract: A bicycle parking management method and system which receives, by a user terminal, a temporary parking instruction triggered by a user; sends, by the user terminal, the temporary parking instruction to a cloud management platform; sends, by the cloud management platform, a first temporary locking instruction to a bicycle terminal after receiving the temporary parking instruction sent by the user terminal; and locks, by the bicycle terminal, a locking device on the bicycle, after receiving the first temporary locking instruction sent by the cloud management platform. The solution provided by the present disclosure does not require the user to manually lock the bicycle, thus improving the user's experience, and also providing a new solution for managing the parking of the bicycle.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are discussed for an electric powered personal transportation vehicle with electric motors powered by one or more batteries. A battery pack storage enclosure i) contains a set of pocket cores. The first battery pack storage enclosure has a rigid internal structure that has a set of pocket cores that hold the battery cells in place and ii) contains a metal mid-plate that functionally transfers thermal heat rapidly through a metal mass of the metal mid-plate to smooth out spikes of local temperatures when an initial battery cell overheats and fails in order to minimize the heat from the initial battery cell failure from propagating and causing a neighboring battery cell to also fail from the heat.
